I have been working with him for some time and his uploads are always very good; I've also reviewed the modifications he made and they are sensible. I'll be uploading the package to the DELAYED queue as a courtesy. As a side note, he forked your repository on salsa and did his work on his repo: https://salsa.debian.org/wolff-guest/pkg-backintime I think it makes sense to set up a new "debian/backintime" repository and use his repo as the starting point; I can do that if you want. In principle, I'd be interested in co-maintaining the package, but unfortunately, I don't think that I have the time for it right now. I might reconsider co-maintaining this package in the future, though. For the time being, I'd like to leave it at a NMU. Can I proceed with the NMU? If so, would you like to sponsor it, or should I look for a sponsor elsewhere? Best regards, Fabian

Would you like to co-maintain? If so, please add yourself to uploaders and prepare a maintainer upload (rather than NMU). I added you to the repository members in anticipation. Bug#881205: NMU for backintime 1.1.24
Hi, since there has not been any progress on this for a while now, I have decided to prepare a non-maintainer upload myself, including the latest upstream release, 1.1.24, as well as some minor maintenance work. Jonathan, could you have a look at this? Of course I won't upload a NMU without your consent. Also, I would need a sponsor. I have uploaded my package to Mentors: https://mentors.debian.net/package/backintime I have also forked your repository and pushed my changes: https://salsa.debian.org/wolff-guest/pkg-backintime If you're satisfied with my changes, I can add a debian/1.1.24-0.1 tag and open a merge request, or you could give me write access to your repository so that I can push the changes myself. Thanks! Best regards, Fabian
