Ah, I assumed that the files being there means another DD sponsored this
just before me. People don't bother marking RFS bugs as being reviewed in
most cases -- that's too much overhead in non-complex cases, and the
downside being just twice as many eyeballs checking the package (horror!).

The failed upload is still there; I'm marking the RFS bug open so this
doesn't get forgotten.

I may look further once I wake up for real rather than just to feed the cat
(as you can see, my .sig is not exaggerated).

Hi Adam,

Clear.

I am currently working on a new upstream version and will be back if it
is ready for review.

I don't see any changes other than removal of an article from the short desc
and removal of the Homepage: field.

Thus, this upload would serve no other purpose than to stake your claim.
This can be done just by mentioning in the ITA bug.

I'd refrain from uploading until there are some actual changes.

Bug#881762: ITA: gtkterm/0.99.7~rc1-1

2017-11-14 Thread Willem van den Akker
Package: sponsorship-requests
Severity: normal [important for RC bugs, wishlist for new packages]

Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package "gtkterm"

* Package name: gtkterm
  Version : 0.99.7~rc1-1
  Upstream Author : [fill in name and email of upstream]
* URL : [fill in URL of upstreams web site]
* License : [fill in]
  Section : comm

It builds those binary packages:

  gtkterm- simple GTK+ serial port terminal

To access further information about this package, please visit the
following URL:

  https://mentors.debian.net/package/gtkterm

Alternatively, one can download the package with dget using this
command:

dget -x https://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/g/gtkterm/gtkte
rm_0.99.7~rc1-1.dsc

  Changes since the last upload:

  * New maintainer upload (Closes: #857476).
  * debian/control
- description updated conform Developer's Reference.
  * Bump standards version to 4.1.1.1.

Remarks:
Homepage, watch file are not known yet. gtkterm has many, often
inactive, respositories. I am in contact with a few owners to take
over the most recent respository. After that a new release and
homepage/watch file are filled in.
Also one file serie.c is modified other then the 'quilt-way'. This will
be corrected after a new version upload.

  Regards,
   W. van den Akker
