Bug#888705: ITP: abseil -- Collection of C++ code (compliant to C++11) designed to augment the C++ standard library

2020-02-06 Thread Benjamin Barenblat
It looks like there hasn’t been any activity on this for a while. I hear
there’s going to be a new Abseil LTS release sometime in the next few
weeks; would it be all right if I took this bug and packaged Abseil once
the LTS hits GitHub?

(Full disclosure: I work at Google and sit near some Abseil developers.
However, I don’t work on Abseil for my day job; packaging it would be a
20% effort. I’d continue maintaining the package even if I left Google.)

Hello Benjamin,

I have already done a basic packaging, it just
need to be updated to a newer version.

I am planning to do it in the near future. Feel free to join
as a maintainer of this package.

Regards

Anton

How about the progress? tensorflow asks for this package.
Do you have a workable package, even not in repo?
I will be very helpful for me to test tensorflow.
