It only happens when the user has setted 'es', 'de' or 'ru' locales to be used. To reproduce: 1) Edit /etc/locale.gen and uncomment one of those locale (i.e. 'es_ES.UTF-8 UTF-8'). 2) Run 'locale-gen' to generate the locate. 3) Run 'LANG=es_ES.UTF8 mednaffe' 2018-02-18 2:40 GMT+01:00 Dio Putra : > Does it regressed with certain localization and system only? As you are using spanish localization, most probably it is the same issue that one reported in github: https://github.com/AmatCoder/mednaffe/issues/52 It is fixed in versions >= 0.8.5 of mednaffe. Mednaffe should tell you what version it’s found, both at startup in the terminal (if you start it from a terminal), and in the GUI, at the bottom-right of the main window, or in the “Front End” tabs of the “Logs” tab. Here's the output for $HOME/.mednafen/ cheats/ firmware/ mcm/ mcs/ mednafen-09x.cfg palettes/ pgconfig/ sav/ snaps/ And for ls -l $HOME/.config/mednaffe.conf $HOME/.mednafen/mednafen-09x.cfg -rw-r--r-- 1 nano nano310 feb 16 13:22 /home/nano/.config/mednaffe.conf -rw-r--r-- 1 nano nano 283565 feb 16 20:28 /home/nano/.mednafen/mednafen-09x.cfg Tried replacing with those config files but still getting the same error.

I didn't have a file created in $HOME/.config/mednaffe.conf, so can't paste anything here. Also tried creating an empty file there and launching mednaffe afterwards but still no luck.
