Asciidoc will be removed on next Debian major release when python2
will be removed so if upstream releases before that, then it's
perfect.

Thanks
Joseph

thank you for working on this, and also for submitting the patch upstream!
I saw that it meanwhile got merged and will be part of the next release.

What is your planned timeline for getting rid of asciidoc?
Is it sufficient to wait for the next awesome release, or do you want to
have it already applied to the currently released version?

Kind regards,

Package: awesome

Dear Maintainer,

Asciidoc is currently facing its end of life and I'm working with the different
packages that depend on it to get its EOL go smooth.

There are several alternatives to asciidoc like asciidoctor for
example (which is the replacement recommended by asciidoc developers).

Could you have your package migrated to an alternative system please?

Note: I already pushed an upstream PR
https://github.com/awesomeWM/awesome/pull/2234 in case it can help for
follow-up.

Thanks for your help,
Joseph
