this issue was already raised by some other person but somehow no bug
was opened about this. We now the root for this behavior which is
related to the currently enabled wxpython (with GTK+3 bindings) usage by
KICAD_SCRIPTING_WXPYTHON=ON.

We will drop this setting with the next upload which should happen soon
as now RC2 is released.

When loading eeschema in the 5.0.0-rc1 version from experimental, the schematic
editor is very sluggish.  There is a thread about this on the kicad forums here:

It appears to be related to USE_WX_GRAPHICS_CONTEXT, but that seems necessary to
use with wxwidgets linked with Gtk3.  I don't know what workarounds are
possible.
