Bug#902633: Any progress?
Hi If the package is renamed we need to do the following: - Wait for FTP masters to accept the new package - Upload a new php-mode package as a transitional package, meaning it do not provide anything useful more than removing old stuff from itself and depending on the new package including potentially some more stuff. The new package should probably not provide php-mode. Maybe conflict with it. // Ola On Sat, 29 Dec 2018 at 13:40, Nicholas D Steeves wrote: > Replying from my phone. I do not understand. elpa-org-mode package does not exist in Debian. Anyway, I would put 'php-mode' in the name of the package, given that this is the name of the software. We can follow the same notation as yaml-mode you packaged. Please ping me in a week:-) Ok, I executed an 'at' command... :o) -- Eugen

Replying from my phone. The work is done, just waiting for copyright confirmation of debian/*. With the new upstream, conversion to dh-elpa (total repackaging minus the changelog), etc. I wonder if it might be necessary to upload as src:php-mode. Bin:elpa-org-mode provides bin:php-elisp in any case. Please ping me in a week :-) On Wed, Dec 26, 2018, 05:45 Eugen Dedu Hi everybody, > > Nicholas, is there any progress on updating this package? > > Also, any progress on "Clarify a point in README.md wrt PSR-5 status and > PSR-7 status" https://github.com/ejmr/php-mode/issues/473 ? Bug#902633: Any progress?
Hi Eugen and everybody. My name is Kenta, I'm currently maintainer of PHP Mode and Emacs-PHP. I plan to change PHP Mode in the future, but I think that the current version can be distributed as a stable version. I do not know which version of Debian will be offered, but it will probably be helpful to many users. Thank you. 2018年12月26日(水) 21:33 Eugen Dedu : > Hi everybody, > > Nicholas, is there any progress on updating this package? > > Also, any progress on "Clarify a point in README.md wrt PSR-5 status and > PSR-7 status" https://github.com/ejmr/php-mode/issues/473 ? Bug#902633: Any progress?
Hi everybody, Nicholas, is there any progress on updating this package? Also, any progress on "Clarify a point in README.md wrt PSR-5 status and PSR-7 status" https://github.com/ejmr/php-mode/issues/473 ? Is it so important to delay the packaging of the latest release? Ola, is there any svn of git repository for the Debian files of the package? I do not see it at https://packages.qa.debian.org/p/php-elisp.html. Or the latest version is in the package itself? Note that someone else took over the software, Kenta Usami, https://github.com/emacs-php/php-mode. I would like to work on this a few hours, hopefully today. I do not plan to take over this package, just package the latest release of the software. I am Debian maintainer, and maintained for a few years ekiga, ptlib, and opal. I could send to Ola a few patches to solve this. Regards, -- Eugen Dedu Associate Professor / Maître de conférences HDR OMNI team leader FEMTO-ST Institute, Univ.
