Please add a dpkg-reconfigure item that would ask the user:
Units now tries to go on the network every day to get exchange rates.
Do you really want units to do that,
or would you be much more happy if it only did it on demand when needed
and cached it and only got it again or printed error messages when it
was over 24 hours old etc.
As your computer is not networked 24 hours a day, and you don't like
programs making random connections for features you hardly use etc.
