Thanks for looking into this - and thanks for keeping me in the loop.

I did not work any further on that package.  Reason I stopped was that I 
realized it might require testing a bunch of reverse dependencies, and I 
postponed that... - and have since then been busy elsewhere.

If you want, then please go ahead and do that migration work.  I have no 
special insight into it, and have no special ties to the node-diff 
package really, so if you like then add yourself as uploader and 
maintain it :-)

you have uploaded 4.0.1 to experimental in august 2019 ; is there a
reason why it didn't get into unstable?

I ask because I want to work on shipping the TypeScript types with the
package... and the definition are for v4.

So basically, I want to work on the package, but don't want to step on
your toes.
