Are you (still) able to reproduce this issue? If so which version are
you testing with?

A good number of fixes has entered since the 0.10 release and hopefully
iwd should be much more reliable these days (and kernel version and if
it's an official debian kernel or not since some missing kernel support
has just very recently been turned on in the debian kernels). If you
issue still exists it would be great to know about it.

Getting an iwmon from while you reproduce this will likely be very
useful.
You might also want to run iwd in debug mode, eg.
  /usr/libexec/iwd --debug

Could you please discuss this directly with upstream?

They're available in #iwd on FreeNode or via iwd list at lists.01.org.
They will most likely ask you to gather a trace during the interaction
as a first step. They'll be able to assist with more details about
how to proceed.

Hi,

I gave iwd (0.10-1 from Debian) a try on my notebook - It does not connect to
the wireless network in my hackerspace:

---
$ iwctl
[iwd]# station wlp3s0 connect mainframe
Type the network passphrase for mainframe psk.
Passphrase: *
Operation failed

The network is provided by multiple Juniper access points (wla522 & wla532)
controlled by WLC-V MSS 9.1.6.2. wpa_supplicant (Debian
2:2.7~git20181004+1dd66fc-1)
works as expected with the same network on the same machine:

---
$ wpa_cli -i wlp3s0 status
bssid=dc:38:e1:90:5b:c1
freq=5180
ssid=mainframe
id=18
mode=station
pairwise_cipher=CCMP
group_cipher=CCMP
key_mgmt=WPA2-PSK
wpa_state=COMPLETED
---

My understanding is, that WPA2-PSK with CCMP should be supported by iwd,
so I wonder what went wrong.
