Apologies for delay, Jeremy. It would be helpful if you could file that
removal bug on my behalf. If you are busy then I'll see if I can do that some
time before the end of this week...

Thanks.

All the best,

You have to start with the truth. The truth is the only way that we can

Hi again! gnucash is now the final blocker for removing the old
webkitgtk from Debian Unstable. Therefore, I plan to file a removal
bug for gnucash [armel mips] unless Dmitry wants to file the bug
instead. Those removals will allow gnucash to migrate to Testing
which is a nice benefit for everyone.

We similarly had to remove aisleriot [armel]
https://bugs.debian.org/910600

Since gnucash has no reverse dependencies, maybe you could request
removal of gnucash from mips also? That should allow gnucash to
migrate to Testing again.

Thanks,

This seems to be the only option... Upstream moved on to Guile-2.2 and I am
not sure if GnuCash cab be built successfully (and pass tests) with
Guile-2.0...

Bug#914674: gnucash not building on armel anymore because of guile-2.2

2018-11-25 Thread Laurent Bigonville
Source: gnucash
Version: 1:3.3-2
Severity: serious

Hi,

The guile-2.* packages are not built on the armel architecture anymore
(see #883778) that means that gnucash cannot be built and this blocks
the transition to testing.

To fix this, gnucash should either drop the build-dependency against
guile-2.* (quickly looking at the build system this doesn't look
possible) or the binaries needs to be removed from that architecture.

Could you please have a look?

Kind regards,

Laurent Bigonville
