I was merely doing QA work, unfortunately I do not have any personal
interest in maintaining this package.

Bug#919646: makehuman: File base.obj is missing

2019-02-07 Thread Vangelis Skarmoutsos
I have just tested it and it starts normally.
By the way the file base.npz is at the right position.
Probably a system upgrade corrected some related package.

This bug report should be closed unless you need some more investigation
about the circumstances that made this happen.

I will have to check this to confirm whether or not the problem is
related to the package actually not including that file.

Adrian, I was thinking to move makehuman to a git repository to ease
team-maintenance. I recently don't have too much time for my Debian
duties.

Does that sound that good for you?

Best,

The file is /usr/share/makehuman/data/3dobjs/base.npz

Is this file present on your sytem?

Does removing+reinstalling of makehuman-data help?

Bug#919646: makehuman: File base.obj is missing

2019-01-18 Thread Vangelis Skarmoutsos
Package: makehuman
Version: 1.1.1-1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Dear Maintainer,

When trying to start Makehuman by clicking on the gnome's corresponding icon
the welcome screen appeared with the message:
"Unable to load obj file: data/3dobjs/base.obj"
and nothing more happened.
When I clicked on that window, it closed and nothing else appeared.

I was expecting the application to start with its full interface.

The application has the same behavior if uninstalled (purge) and installed
again.

Using
 $ sudo find / -iname "base.obj"
does not find this file on the system.
