Package: advancecomp Version: 1.20-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
advzip sometimes fails with this error message: Failed read end of central directory on 00-archive/20170303.zip the zip file itself can be handled fine by other utilities. After experimenting with a number of zip files, it seems this error occurs for zip files larger than 4GB, probably caused by a 64 bit uncleanlyness in the code. This is corrobated by strace'ing it - for example, when running "advzip -2 -z" on a zip file with size 0x1e289f20a, it does a lot of llseeks around 0x0e2896000 before bailing out, which is suspiciously near the lower 3 2bits of the filesize. -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.6 APT prefers stable APT policy: (990, 'stable'), (500, 'unstable-debug'), (500, 'testing-debug'), (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable-debug'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental-debug'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386, x32 Kernel: Linux 4.18.20-041820-generic (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=C (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages advancecomp depends on: ii libc6 2.28-2 ii libgcc1 1:8.2.0-13 ii libstdc++6 8.2.0-13 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.11.dfsg-1 advancecomp recommends no packages. advancecomp suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
