Bug#925581: impossible to scroll in mate-panel
Dear Simon, I hereby confirm that installing libgtk-3-0 3.24.8-1 from experimental, along with its dependencies (corresponding versions of libgail-3-0 and libgtk-3-0-common) fixes the issue. Control: severity -1 important Control: tags -1 + fixed-upstream Control: forwarded -1 https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gtk/merge_requests/565 On Wed, 27 Mar 2019 at 05:13:40 +0100, DC-1 wrote: > It's impossible to select new keyboard layout, due to can't scroll in > mate-keyboard-preferences . ... > The bug was fixed in gtk 3.24.6 with this patch: > https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gtk/commit/1d4eac211c09624d29b9309e2b92173f7477a9b7 Please could you confirm that GTK 3.24.8-1 in experimental resolves this bug? buster has been in hard freeze since mid March, so we would have to check the benefit vs. regression risk and get permission from the release team to be able to backport some or all of the 3.24.x changes into buster, but the first step would be to confirm that the fixes have the desired effect. Package: libgtk-3-0 Version: 3.24.5-1 It's impossible to select new keyboard layout, due to can't scroll in mate-keyboard-preferences . It is a known bug discussed at: https://github.com/mate-desktop/mate-panel/issues/920 The bug was fixed in gtk 3.24.6 with this patch: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gtk/commit/1d4eac211c09624d29b9309e2b92173f7477a9b7 Please backport this patch for 3.24.5 before first Buster release.
