Bug#940716: openvpn: Missing systemd-resolved update example

2020-04-13 Thread Jörg Frings-Fürst
Hello Holger,

thank you for spending your time helping to make Debian better with this bug
report.

It is very problematic to assign file names twice in one system.
openvpn-systemd-resolved is already available as a separate package.

Please contact the maintainer of the package directly with your desired
changes.

Bug closed.

Bug#940716: openvpn: Missing systemd-resolved update example

2019-09-19 Thread Simon Deziel
Hi Holger,

I did the exact same thing as you months ago until I noticed the
existence of "openvpn-systemd-resolved" that happens to be a "suggested"
package:

It worked well in my tests so you should give it a try.

Simon

Bug#940716: openvpn: Missing systemd-resolved update example

Dear Maintainer,

while using openvpn as client on debian 10 in conjunction with
systemd-resolved I found out, that the systemd-resolved isn't
updated with the pushed dns and domain information.

Looking in the package documentation, I figured out, that there
is no example how to update systemd-resolved.

So I've copied the existing update-resolv-conf script to
update-systemd-resolved and modified it, so that it
supplies the fitting command to systemd-resolve.
