I updated Chromium to latest version available on Debian Buster Stable i.e. 78.0.3904.108-1~deb10u1. * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? When Chromium is killed unexpectedly, such as when I switch off my machine without closing first, I have the option to restore the windows and tabs previously open, which I use everyday. * What was the outcome of this action? Some windows appears with a different shape/size, behind others, on others screens, etc. Basically, it does not restore exactly the windows like they were before, contrary to what this function used to do before. Some windows are unaffected, some are always affected. * What outcome did you expect instead? I expected that the "restore" feature behaves like before i.e. keeping track of windows positions, size and shapes, as well as, open tabs.
