Please binNMU also pyqt5chart. It needs a rebuild because
https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-74752 was fixed, and private
symbols are now properly marked as such.

I am looking at the remaining broken builds and autopkgtests.

Bug#962867: transition: qtbase-opensource-src

2020-06-26 Thread Hubert Chathi
Can someone schedule a binnmu of nheko? Apparently it needs to be
rebuilt because it compiles its QML files, and so is incompatible with
the latest version. Running nheko gives the error:

qrc:/qml/TimelineView.qml: File was compiled ahead of time with an
incompatible version of Qt and the original file cannot be found. Please
recompile (qrc:/qml/TimelineView.qml:-1, )

Thanks

Hubert

Thanks for taking care of qtcreator!

There are some autopkgtest regressions though. Most of them look
temporary issues due to uninstallability.

Scheduled as well.

Thanks for the quick accept.

It looks like the transition is going mostly fine, except for hedgewars
(which you filed a bug for, thanks) and qtcreator/s390x (which I will fix).

Can I also ask you to binNMU pyqt5 in experimental? I am preparing a sip5
port of all pyqt5 stack there, so it would be nice to have it installable.

Please go ahead with the uploads to unstable.

qgis (3.10.6+dfsg-1) was just uploaded to unstable, fixing both #960954
& #962641.

Kind Regards,

Bas

Package: release.debian.org
Severity: normal

Dear Release team,

We (the Qt maintainers) are almost ready to start a transition for the
new major Qt version: 5.14.2 instead of 5.12.5.

It is not the latest release, but we consider 5.14.2 to be more stable
than 5.15.0.

As usual, we have two sub-transitions:

title = "qtbase-opensource-src";
is_affected = .depends ~ "qtbase-abi-5-12-5" | .depends ~ "qtbase-abi-5-14-2";
is_good = .depends ~ "qtbase-abi-5-14-2";
is_bad = .depends ~ "qtbase-abi-5-12-5";

and

title = "qtdeclarative-opensource-src";
is_affected = .depends ~ "qtdeclarative-abi-5-12-5" | .depends ~
"qtdeclarative-abi-5-14-2";
is_good = .depends ~ "qtdeclarative-abi-5-14-2";
is_bad = .depends ~ "qtdeclarative-abi-5-12-5";

At the same time, qbs will be updated to 1.16.0 (only qtcreator is affected).

Right now there are two blocking bugs: fix for one of them is in the deferred
queue, the other one is blocked by another qgis FTBFS (#962641) but I hope
it will be fixed soon.
