I've pushed the new packaged upstream to the debian/buster branch on Salsa. If you are (or anyone else is) interested please test the package on Buster get an approval for the upload, to follow: https://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/developers-reference/pkgs.html#upload-stable (I don't have Buster setups now.) There was a small hope that there will be a Christmas version of version 2.6.20 for those who prefer GTK to QT. I am not sure how difficult is to prepare Debian source package for self-compilation for version 2.6.20 based on 2.6.8, probably I would be able to do it myself. Thanks!

Package: wireshark Version: 2.6.8-1.1 Severity: wishlist It would be nice if the latest Wireshark 2.6.x with GTK support appears in buster/buster-backports. -- With best regards, Dmitry

Control: tags -1 wontfix Hi Dmitry, Dmitry Katsubo ezt írta (időpont: 2020. dec. 30., Sze, 14:27): > > Package: wireshark > Version: 2.6.8-1.1 > Severity: wishlist > > It would be nice if the latest Wireshark 2.6.x with GTK support appears in > buster/buster-backports. Buster-backports receives backports from testing where the version is already at 3.4.0-1, thus 2.6.x can't be uploaded there. Also the 2.6.x branch reached EOL on 2020.10.18: https://www.wireshark.org/docs/relnotes/wireshark-2.6.20.html It is unlikely to have a newer 2.6.x version uploaded to Buster because all the security issues are marked as not being important enough to warrant an upload: https://security-tracker.debian.org/tracker/source-package/wireshark Cheers, Balint > > -- > With best regards, > Dmitry >
