Yes. Both upstream and myself only ship (enable) languages we have
some confidence in.

This would be a very good idea.

Thanks for taking care

manpages-it is in testing now.
I have re-added manpages-it to task-italian in tasksel (in git).
Tagging #982043 as pending.
This also draws a final line at #982035 now.

Missing in tasksel are currently:
manpages-es
manpages-mk
manpages-nl
manpages-bt-BR
manpages-ro

Are these in a good condition for stable?
Should they be added to the respective language tasks?

Bug#982035: Please consider reverting (i.e. re-adding dependency)

2021-02-25 Thread Helge Kreutzmann
Hello Paul,
hello Holger,
manpages-it comes back, just from a new source package
(manpages-l10n). The reason this was delayed is that I cannot get this
through NEW myself, as I'm only a Debian Maintainer, so I needed a
sponsor (Toddy is currently unavailable). This has been resolved, so
now manpages-it is on it's way through Testing. I received positive
signals from the release team that it will be accepted.

Currently manpages-l10n (and with it manpages-it) still hast to wait 5
more days, before it can enter testing. (So it is already in unstable)

Please note, that manpages-l10n ships the following languages
currently, so you might check tasksel if it follows suit:
manpages-de
manpages-es
manpages-fr
manpages-it
manpages-mk
manpages-nl
manpages-pl
manpages-bt-BR
manpages-ro

If you have any questions regaring the manpage translations, do not
hesitate to ask (there are more langauges in the pipeline, but not for
Bullseye)

Greetings

  Helge
