Bug#986964: geeqie: View in new window, new window black until zoom in/out
Package: geeqie Version: 1:1.6-9+deb11u1 Followup-For: Bug #986964 X-Debbugs-Cc: rudolf.dovi...@gmail.com Dear Maintainer, I see the same error. I reply to this, because I think that I have additional information. It appears in full-screen mode in the main window, too. When I turn full-screen mode in the main window by mouse and context menu or by [F11] keyboard key, it shows only black screen until zooming. But in a strange way: When I start geeqie, full-screen of the main window is OK. Error in the main window full-screen appears after the first zoom 1:1 only, not before. I cannot turn on "Use GPU acceleration via Clutter library" in preferences. I have Installed xserver-xorg 2:1.20.11-1+deb11u5 version. -- System Information: Debian Release: 11.6 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable-security'), (500, 'proposed-updates'), (500, 'oldstable-updates'), (500, 'stable'), (500, 'oldstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 5.10.0-21-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU threads) Locale: LANG=sk_SK.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=sk_SK.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages geeqie depends on: ii geeqie-common1:1.6-9+deb11u1 ii libc62.31-13+deb11u5 ii libcairo21.16.0-5 ii libchamplain-0.12-0 0.12.20-1 ii libchamplain-gtk-0.12-0 0.12.20-1 ii libclutter-1.0-0 1.26.4+dfsg-2 ii libclutter-gtk-1.0-0 1.8.4-4 ii libcogl201.22.8-2 ii libdjvulibre21 3.5.28-2 ii libexiv2-27 0.27.3-3+deb11u1 ii libffmpegthumbnailer4v5 2.1.1-0.2+b1 ii libgcc-s110.2.1-6 ii libgdk-pixbuf-2.0-0 2.42.2+dfsg-1+deb11u1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.66.8-1 ii libgtk-3-0 3.24.24-4+deb11u2 ii libheif1 1.11.0-1 ii libjpeg62-turbo 1:2.0.6-4 ii liblcms2-2 2.12~rc1-2 ii liblirc-client0 0.10.1-6.3 ii liblua5.1-0 5.1.5-8.1+b3 ii libopenjp2-7 2.4.0-3 ii libpango-1.0-0 1.46.2-3 ii libpangocairo-1.0-0 1.46.2-3 ii libpoppler-glib8 20.09.0-3.1+deb11u1 ii libstdc++6 10.2.1-6 ii libtiff5 4.2.0-1+deb11u3 ii libwebp6 0.6.1-2.1 ii sensible-utils 0.0.14 Versions of packages geeqie recommends: ii cups-bsd [lpr] 2.3.3op2-3+deb11u2 ii exiftran 2.10-4 ii exiv20.27.3-3+deb11u1 ii imagemagick 8:6.9.11.60+dfsg-1.3+deb11u1 ii imagemagick-6.q16 [imagemagick] 8:6.9.11.60+dfsg-1.3+deb11u1 ii librsvg2-common 2.50.3+dfsg-1 ii zenity 3.32.0-6 Versions of packages geeqie suggests: pn geeqie-dbg ii gimp 2.10.22-4 ii libjpeg-turbo-progs [libjpeg-progs] 1:2.0.6-4 pn xpaint

Also, I see something similar if I run without "GPU acceleration via Clutter library" - see preferences under "Image", "Use GPU acceleration via Clutter library" - is that checked for you? If I select to run without clutter, I see something similar to what you see. (I will forward this to upstream, but this could possibly be at least a temporary workaround). /Andreas Rönnquist gus...@debian.org
