Did you have a chance to test 460.84, yet? The (usually sparse) upstream
changelog doesn't mention anything related to DP, though, but that
doesn't mean anything.

I forgot ffmpeg come from the deb-multimedia.org repository.

ffmpeg package from Debian doesn't have nvenc.

Isn't directly cuda but libnvidia-*-encode1 package is required.

Hi,

So first thing is that you can expect the driver to support your GPU for at
least 5 years from now. NVidia plans to drop the Kepler series (GeForce 6xx/
7xx except 750/Ti) after the NVidia 470 driver series.

Now did you install Cuda stuff ?

Display driver is working but I lost nvenc support as ffmpeg is build
for 460 driver version.

That should be supported since 375.xx, you could check the PCI ID with
nvidia-detect or manually in /usr/share/doc/nvidia*-driver/README.txt.gz

Thanks, I'm updating the package right now ;-)

@Christian: Out of curiosity, if your card is supported by the tesla-450

Bug#989069: nvidia-driver: Crash when displayport is plugged.

2021-05-24 Thread Christian Marillat
Package: nvidia-driver
Version: 460.80-1
Severity: Serious

Dear Maintainer,

Bug report done against the testing 460.73.01-1 package as the unstable
package 460.80-1 is unusable.

Computer doesn't start when my display is plugged to the displayport.

Computer crash when I plug the same display on the displayport.

I can't access this computer by ssh as this machine is really crashed.

Tested with 460.80-1 from unstable and 465.27-1 from experimental.

Also tested with 5.10.38-1 kernel, same crash.

Bug already reported upstream here :

https://forums.developer.nvidia.com/t/465-24-02-page-fault/175782

Feel free to reassign to the right package.

Christian
