No problem

TBH I'm not a 100% sure on the severity, it could be super-bad or not.
But the bug has all that is needed to do an upload for any DD.

I understand that the process is requesting a lot right now since we
are in final freeze.
Maybe the usual flow of actions should be inverted here, let us first
ask the release team
if they think this is a fix they would want to have in the coming release.

If they say it is fine without then you don't have to do anything, and
can pick it up
early in the next release when you have time.
If OTOH they say that they'd want the fix in bullseye then you still
don't have to
do anything. I could do a NMU for it and file an unblock bug later this week.

But I have to admit that I'm myself out for some time starting after
this Friday, so it is now or never :-)
I'll ping on #debian-release and ask them to do an update on this bug
to state their opinion on this.

Thanks for the detailed bug report and the debdiff!

Unfortunately I wont be able to handle this until September because summer
vacations.

In particular, I wont have the time to follow all the procedures to get this
accepted into testing/stable at this point. If I do the upload without double
checking all the docs first there are high chances that the update is rejected.

However, I understand the timing thing. If you still want me to do this on 5
minutes that I can find in front of the laptop I would need a deadsimple
copy-paste list of steps I need to do in order to upload the package and ask for
the required permissions. Even with this, I can't promise anything.
