OK, actually I forgot the CC. (This happens if you do it when you
actually have more imprtant university stuff to do...)

Done manually now.

If you actually have read my mails you would have seen that I

a) acknowledged the problem (there's a easy workaround, though)

b) removed the unreproducible tag already.

Helpful. Not.

I could have said that for you too, (besides that your "top menu" also
didn't make any sense at all given you mean "tool bar".)

I didn't, I tried to argue with examples. Like writing black on black.

(here it is that beige or whatever that is on Adwaitas default beige
background.)

> Anyone can choose this icon set, this is  what tweaks tool is for.

I didn't say otherwise. Of course one can. One can also just set a dark
normal UI theme in additon and be done,

I also didn't say this wasn't a problem. If I did the bug would be closed.

Maybe, because it's not a native gtk app (tries to look like it, but
also has own icons).

I still maintain that it would be trivial to also use a black background
and then this would be non-issue.

Or default in gnome tweaks.

> Then in Gnome tweaks select icon set as "breeze-dark".

True.

Thinking about it a bit more:

And why would anyone do that? That sounds like a unfortunate combination
to me but nothing one can do against.

If the breeze_dark icons assume (btw, in your subject you say "tool
menu", so you definitely mean "tool bar", I literally read it as "menu",
that's why I did the second screenshot...) a black background and do the
icons in the color which is used by adwaita in the background, what
can/should one do?

Just set both to breeze_dark? (or at least dark for the general UI)?

No one is saying any combination makes sense.

If you have a black paper, you also wouldn't complain to someone that
you can't actually read stuff you write witha black pen? Or light yellow
on white? Or ...

And yes, even with Adwaita there is no icons in any menu.

The (needed) checkboxes as (as you see in my menu.png) also there.

So it's still unreproducible.

Not for soch bogus "critical" bugs. That is not a willy-nilly
categorization. Severities have rules.

And this defintely DOES NOT *BREAK THE WHOLE SYSTEM*.

I am trying to be polite if people actually show some care in what they
write. Which you obviously did not.

And that bugs shoud have content should be pretty obvious, shouldn't it?

Aha, that is interesting to know. That should have been in the initial
report.

So it definitely is important only since with default it works.

> Same issue exists in the next version of LibreOffice in "testing".

Marking as such.

Bulls*.

How does it break booting? How does it break other parts of
the system?

If at all, it'd be "grave".

Read the bug definitions and don't submit overinflated bug reports.

Yes. Do. That's not there just for fun.
No text here is no real good sign of anything.

Anyways, your mail subject says

Subject: Re: Bug#993449: libreoffice-calc: Top level tool menu is missing
text labels and icons for most buttons

You should haver added some explanation here

In any case:

Oh, surprise. Works here fine. (and yes, I tried with gen(eric), gtk3,
qt5 and kde5).

So this is even unreproducible.

Rene
