Bug#994944: libgtk-4-bin: gtk4-broadwayd not available

2022-08-16 Thread Simon McVittie
I've queued up enabling the broadway backend for the next upload.

The size of gtk4-broadwayd itself is insignificant, and adding a
separate binary package would require waiting an unknown length of
time for approval from the archive administrators, so this isn't really
worth splitting. The part of this feature request that has a potentially
significant size cost is enabling the broadway backend in the GTK shared
library, without which gtk4-broadwayd would be useless, and that can't
be a separate package: it's part of the same library as the Wayland and
X11 backends.

Bug#994944: libgtk-4-bin: gtk4-broadwayd not available

2022-05-24 Thread Maxime Lombard
Hello Debian,

Someone in Debian can take a look for this bug or it will be never fixed ?
I'm very interested to use Cambalache and you had the good idea to disable
this backend.

Thanks,

Bug#994944: libgtk-4-bin: gtk4-broadwayd not available

2021-09-23 Thread Juan Pablo Ugarte
Package: libgtk-4-bin
Version: 4.4.0+ds1-5
Severity: wishlist

Hi

Gtk 4 package currently does not build the broadway backend which is needed to
run Cambalache, a new tool to create gtk4 UI files.

I will eventually remove the dependency but not in the near future.

Is there any particular reason why it does not build in Debian?
