Bug#846911: gnubiff: When rebuilt, ships files in /usr/@DATADIRNAME@/locale/

When I rebuild gnubiff from source (note: I added a patch from #828327 to
make it build), I get this:

 -rw-r--r-- root/root 21377 2016-01-13 03:58
./usr/@DATADIRNAME@/locale/eo/LC_MESSAGES/gnubiff.mo

Here @DATADIRNAME@ is a literal directory name, but it should have been
substituted with “share”.

This happens because aclocal.m4 gets regenerated, but po/Makefile.in.in does
not (and old Makefile.in.in references a variable that newer aclocal.m4 no
longer substitutes).

The attached patch makes debian/rules call “intltoolize --copy” to make sure
that po/Makefile.in.in gets regenerated too.

however, that one big string had still one occurance of "LTSP server" in

" - LTSP Server:\n"
"includes 'Workstation' and requires two network\n"
"cards.\n"

->

" - Сервер LTSP: Включает профиль 'Рабочая станция' и\n"
"требует две сетевые карты.\n"

2016-12-04 Thread Harald Welte
Package: src:linux
Version: 4.8.7-1
Severity: wishlist

Dear Debian kernel team, it would be great if you could activate the
(newly-introduced) CONFIG_GTP kernel option to build the related kernel
module. The Module implements the 3GPP GTP (Generic Tunneling Protocol)
and has no impact on any other parts of the kernel or networking
sub-system, except that one addtiional tunneling protocol is present,
which some users might use and others not.

There are several Free Software userspace programs using the GTP module,
including OpenGGSN, ergw and OpenAirInterface.

Thanks in advance for your consideration!

Bug#798278: Node-tape depends on node-has which is very small

2016-12-04 Thread Ross Gammon
Hi Lucas,

How are you getting on with node-tape? We only have a month to get it into
Debian Stretch.

For your information, the only dependency left for node-tape (as far as I know)
is node-has. Node has consists of the following two lines of code:

var bind = require('function-bind');
module.exports = bind.call(Function.call, Object.prototype.hasOwnProperty);

It doesn't really make sense to create a whole package just for that. I was
planning to either patch node-tape so that it doesn't require node-has, or just
provide node-has as binary package of node-tape (in case other packages want to
use it - which I had not checked). I can't imaging node-has ever changing that
much upstream!

Sorry for not documenting this issue earlier - busy.

Regards,

Ross

2016-12-04 Thread Carlos Maddela
According to the Debian Package Tracker
 this package is marked for
autoremoval on the 20th of December. It's not really what I had intended
when I filed this report, so in case Andrea cannot fix it by then, I
have uploaded my fixes to mentors:
https://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/d/debdelta/debdelta_0.55+nmu1.dsc.
I have also included the fixes for other bugs for which patches are
available, but more importantly I have worked on getting the package to
build reproducibly.

My changes can also be viewed in the bugfixes branch of this repo:
https://github.com/e7appew/debdelta.git.

I hope someone can review my changes and perhaps sponsor it before the 20th.

Thanks,

Bug#846915: Fixing OpenRC halt/reboot behavior by updating initscripts

2016-12-04 Thread lumin
Package: initscripts
Version: 2.88dsf-59.8
Severity: important

pkg-sysvinit-de...@lists.alioth.debian.org,
openrc-de...@lists.alioth.debian.org, debian-de...@lists.debian.org

Hello guys,

I find a simple way to fix an OpenRC bug [1] by updating initscripts
package. So both sysvinit list and openrc list are rolled in the CC list.

The OpenRC bug [1] is introduced by this commit:

https://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/openrc/openrc.git/commit/?id=f1ec5852df7db55e7bb170b26997c75676430c5b

It removed the "transit" script and the "reboot" and "halt"
behavior gets broken in my kfreebsd-amd64 virtual machine.
>From the openrc maintainer's comments and logs, it seems that
keeping "transit" script is a pain to them.

However, I fixed this problem in my kfreebsd virtual machine
adding merely two lines of code in initscripts. Maybe this
is better than bringing the "pain" back to openrc maintainers?

I'm not quite familiar with openrc and initscripts so I'm not
sure if my solution is correct.

P.S. It is really annoying when I cannot poweroff my kfreebsd
virtual machine with any of them: "poweroff" "halt" "shutdown"
except for "/etc/init.d/halt stop".

Bug#846916: gitlab dropdown menus do not work

2016-12-04 Thread Johannes Schauer
Package: gitlab
Version: 8.13.3+dfsg1-2
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Hi,

this issue happens on a vanilla installation of gitlab on a Debian
Stretch system. Since the problem occurs without any custom
configuration from my side, I deemed this issue to happen for all users
of the gitlab package and thus the severity.

Essentially, the dropdown menus stopped working. This includes:

 - the user menu dropdown on the upper-right
 - the project settings dropdown on the right below
 - the repository clone method dropdown
 - the repository dropdown on the upper-left
 - the download option dropdown
 - the notification dropdown

I judge these elements being dysfunctional to render the package
unusable.

To allow you to investigate the problem, I packed up the rootfs of the
machine I installed this onto. This rootfs is freshly generated and will
not be used in production, so there are no secrets in it.

The only gitlab user is root with the password 12345678.

You can also convince yourself of the problem by looking at this system
running live. For this, just enter the following into your /etc/hosts:

62.75.219.30 gitlab.mister-muffin.de

And then browse to https://gitlab.mister-muffin.de

You can log into the gitlab web interface with the credentials given
above.

For log and configuration files, list of installed packages etc, please
consult the tarball of the whole system here:

https://mister-muffin.de/gitlab_vanilla.tar.xz

To create this setup, I ran in a fresh chroot:

apt-get install --no-install-recommends gitlab msmtp-mta

No further configuration was carried out from my side. I used msmtp-mta
to prevent the bloat of postfix as a provider of mail-transport-agent. I
expect this choice to have no influence on the problem at hand.

I suspected that there might be a problem because I installed with
--no-install-recommends but running the following resulted in the same
behaviour:

apt-get install --install-recommends gitlab msmtp-mta certbot-

I fear I dont really have the time to test this, but the i386 nodes used
for reproducible builds testing have 10 cores and 36gb ram, plus we have
several quad and octo core armhf systems (with 2-4gb ram).

Maybe Mattia can test that? (and what exactly? Apply the patch here,
sure and then build which package? (for the unlikely case that I'll find
time soon…)

Bug#767457: Partition creation fails: calling wipefs on the newly created device node before it has appeared

2016-12-04 Thread intrigeri
Hi,

I would love to see this bug fixed in Jessie.

I've cherry-picked the upstream fix on top of Jessie's 2.1.3-5, and
with the resulting package I can't reproduce the bug anymore on
Jessie, while creating a partition + filesystem on a USB stick that
reproduces the bug about 75% of the time without the patch.

I'm attaching the commits I added on top of the debian/2.1.3-5 tag.

Shall I go ahead and file a stable-pu request to the stable
release managers?

Cheers,

Bug#846917: fix debian packaging for lighttpd 1.4.43

2016-12-04 Thread Stefan Bühler
Package: lighttpd
Version: 1.4.43-1
Severity: serious

Hi,

the debian package for 1.4.43 is in a very sad state (one could say
similar to the upstream release itself...).

See attached patch for what we're using to build packages for
https://debian.lighttpd.net/

- debian stable doesn't know default-libmysqlclient-dev
- add new dependencies
- init script still present, no need for systemd: #846299
- don't recommend php5-cgi - should not get installed automatically imho
- new packages for new modules

Sadly ldap and mysql mod_authn_* modules are required as soon as you
load mod_auth in 1.4.43; this is fixed in git head.

Overall I'd recommend waiting for 1.4.44 or picking some fixes from git
head; there are some quite severe bugs in 1.4.43.

Also we're using the .tar.xz - maybe update the watch file; and https
should work on download.lighttpd.net/ too.

regards,
Stefan

Bug#846919: yade: enable parallel builds

2016-12-04 Thread Emilio Pozuelo Monfort
Source: yade
Version: 2016.06a-6
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

I see parallel builds were disabled because it caused build failures
in some cases (#805032). Usually the problem is lack of dependencies
in the makefiles. It'd be good to either fix that and re-enable
parallel builds, or to disable parallelisation in specific directories
(with GNU make you would do that with .NOPARALLEL in a Makefile, dunno
how to do it with cmake).

Maybe just forward this upstream so they eventually fix it and we can
re-enable it in Debian.

My motivation to report this is the long build time in mips64el, which
should be reduced by a parallel build.

Thanks,
Emilio

Bug#846917: fix debian packaging for lighttpd 1.4.43

2016-12-04 Thread Stefan Bühler
Hi again,

adding "Multi-Arch: foreign" to lighttpd-doc should fix a lintian warning.

To fix the build hardening warnings I added this to the configure call:

CPPFLAGS_FOR_BUILD="$(shell dpkg-buildflags --get CPPFLAGS)" \
CFLAGS_FOR_BUILD="$(shell dpkg-buildflags --get CFLAGS)" \
LDFLAGS_FOR_BUILD="$(shell dpkg-buildflags --get LDFLAGS)" \

There are probably better ways to set them (lemon is build using
*_FOR_BUILD to support proper cross compilation).

You'll have to precompile assets

rake assets:precompile

Then you have to clean the browser cache (or use incognito mode). If
that doesn't work, try reinstalling gitlab.

Just to be double sure, check
/usr/share/ruby-jquery-rails/vendor/assets/javascripts and verify
jquery2* are not symbolic links. Try removing ruby-jquery-rails if it is
still symlink (dpkg may refuse to overwrite symlinks).

Bug#846872: gcc-7: FTBFS on m68k - fails to apply ada-m68k.diff patch

Dropping ada-m68k.diff fixes this particular issue for me.
m68k-revert-pr45144.patch
is currently not applied because we have disabled Ada on m68k by adding it to
ada_no_cpus in debian/rules.defs because of #814221 [1].

I think it makes sense to discuss m68k-revert-pr45144.patch in #814221 and treat
this particular patch as a separate issue.

Bug#846936: git-buildpackage-rpm: import-srpm: upstream tag should only upstream version

2016-12-04 Thread Tzafrir Cohen
Package: git-buildpackage-rpm
Version: 0.8.7
Severity: minor

Dear Maintainer,

After I import a package with gbp import-srpm, I get the following tags:

packaging/1.0-1 (Points to master)
upstream/1.0-1 (Points to upstream)

The packaging tag is OK. However the upstream tag is not what gbp
buildpackage-rpm expects.

With this I get an error:

  gbp:error: Invalid upstream treeish upstream/1.0

Workaround:

  git tag -a -m upstream/1.0 upstream/1.0 upstream

Hi,

the new version of r-bioc-rtracklayer 1.34.1 does not simply build. It
probably needs some patch solving

to make sure this will not be forgotten I'll drop a bug here for the

Kind regards

Yes, that seems to be the version currently served.

I can see the problem is still there. I'm creating a stretch lxc
container to see if I can reproduce it.

I don't see this problem on git.fosscommunity.in which is running the
same package backported to jessie (with its dependencies).

Ok, this was a misunderstanding then as you meant earlier that "this" is no
longer necessary. But I assume you were talking about the single hunk in line
47 that does no longer apply and not the whole patch, correct?

Removing this hunk below from the patch, makes it apply without issues:

However, I'm by no means an Ada expert to be able to tell whether we still need
Ada.Unchecked_Conversion anymore. I have glimpsed over PR48835 and I'm not sure
whether this confirms this in any way.

I'm attaching the updated ada-m68k.diff in any case.

Thanks for providing access to your test environment. I found these

This seems to be an issue with jquery. We noticed this issue with
diaspora and we are working on a fix. See
https://lists.debian.org/debian-ruby/2016/12/msg3.html

Can you try building ruby-jquery-rails from git?

that sound good.
I've no hard objections against adding this patch, it's currently just
not my first priority as I'm working (again) in preparing the
recurring of Thunderbird packages.

Once the new Thunderbird packages on the way it's obviously a next step
to pick up your patch and fixing this issue. Unfortunately we are
suffering now from #844357 the build issues in mips*.

So, I just can say again thank you for providing patches, we will add
them as soon as possible.

Then a new bug should be opened against the frontends. Since this
can put the system in a broken state (and I suppose that this can
also affect stable with bad luck or due to an attack, as there is
no guarantee that two arch's are in sync), I suppose that this
should be grave.

Bug#846948: jessie-pu: package file/1:5.22+15-2+deb8u3

2016-12-04 Thread Christoph Biedl
Package: release.debian.org
Severity: normal
Tags: jessie
User: release.debian@packages.debian.org
Usertags: pu

Hello release team,

A memory leak was found in in libmagic's (src:file) loader of magic
files, appearently independently by Shi Yin in PR/569[1] and Arnaud
Quette in #840754[2]. This was fixed upstream in version 5.29 which is
in testing and unstable (as 1:5.29-1), oldstable/wheezy doesn't seem to
have this problem.

For stable/jessie I'd like to handle this in the next point release.

The actual fix is commit FILE5_28-42-g10ee4ec[3] where commit
FILE5_24-31-g3aa35aa[4] is needed as a prerequisite. I've dropped a
hunk from that fix which AFAICS is not relevant for Debian and would
otherwise require the inclusion FILE5_25-3-gb0ccffd[5] as another
prerequisite: According to its description, that third commit is needed
on systems without mmap only.

Find attached:

* A debdiff for 1:5.22+15-2+deb8u3
* A commulative patch about the code changes to ease review.

After applying the patch, the valgrind check as described in the BTS
no longer reports leaks.

Regards,

Christoph

My bad. It seems I have copied ResourceLinkFactory from another branch which is
not equivalent to
7.0.73.

https://svn.apache.org/viewvc/tomcat/tc7.0.x/trunk/java/org/apache/naming/factory/?pathrev=1757275

Looking at Apache's github repository for Tomcat 7, the loop is indeed present.

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/apache/tomcat70/TOMCAT_7_0_73/java/org/apache/naming/factory/ResourceLinkFactory.java

I will use this version when I prepare a regression update. Since you have
already confirmed that
this fixes #845425 further tests won't be necessary. Thanks for your help!

There are two more RC test failures recorded, one from reproducible builds CI,

I can't reproduce this right now and not yet firm into this package. I'll get

come up with some hints on that (maybe the new maintainer [1]), this would be

I expect it's the same bug as the mips64el one that was originally
reported here, but there may be other issues on 32-bit architectures.

I don't think it's worth fiddling with clones and severities, just fixing
the immediate one and seeing how it fares after that seems fine. But
YMMV of course.

The problem itself seems to be that the gdb macros in
 lib/App/Stacktrace/perl_backtrace_raw.txt
cast pointers to the C 'int' type, which is broken on 64-bit
architectures. For instance, in 'perl_backtrace_5_12_x':
set $interpreter = (int) Perl_get_context()

I suppose it used to work on amd64 because perl used low memory addresses
so things didn't overflow, but that has changed with the latest perl
upload, presumably due to gcc PIE changes.

Hope this helps,

Right, I'm aware of the distinction, but I guess I was wrongly
assuming the lzma_physmem() function would return (userspace)
addressable physical memory. Checking it now, it seems like not,
as it uses stuff like sysconf(_SC_PHYS_PAGES).

> #845757 was on a mipsel buildd with 4 cores [1] and 8 GB RAM.

Ah, thanks, I'm testing as I write this a new patch I've prepared on
eller.d.o (mipsel) which seems to have the right conditions.

The patch now clamps the physical memory to INTPTR_MAX. So that we both
do not exceed the physical memory available nor the addressable limit.

But I should indeed probably also subtract some space for the rest of
the userland that might be running. I'll do that later today.

> (I'd also suggest a MBF for all the packages that mess with the

This has been brought up on d-d some time ago. And many of the
packages affected do not even really benefit from such extreme
settings as the dictionary size is bigger than the actual data
to compress. There's a bug in lintian to report an error on this.

Hi,

I can't see any conclusion in the OpenSSL 1.1 thread on debian-devel,
but we're running out of time. We can't keep XMLTooling at OpenSSL 1.0,
because libcurl uses 1.1, but we can't switch to 1.1 either, because the
latest upstream release doesn't support it yet. Have we got any option
left to ship Shibboleth in stretch after all?

That's perfectly reasonable.

Could you at least change the duplicate "icinga | icinga" to "icinga |
icinga2" in the mean time which my patch also does?

Bug#846932: gettext: Please build without OpenMP support on m68k and sh4

2016-12-04 Thread John Paul Adrian Glaubitz
Source: gettext
Version: 0.19.8.1-1
Severity: normal
Tags: patch
User: debian-...@lists.debian.org
Usertags: m68k,sh4

Hi!

As we're currently doing lots of the builds for m68k and sh4 on qemu,
we are sometimes seeing issues with multi-threading applications. One
of the affected packages is gettext which is currently configured
with "--enable-openmp" in Debian.

Building gettext with "--disable-openmp" on m68k and sh4 avoids the
multi-threading issues we have. With the applied patch in src:gettext,
we could enable the package on the buildds again for m68k and sh4.

If you apply the patch, please replace "NN" in the patch with
the bug number of this bug report (which is not yet determined).

Thanks for consideration!

Adrian

Dear Maintainer,

the Inadyn upstream project has released quite a few new
releases since the one available in Debian.

I believe many of the bugs reported in Debian have been
fixed, e.g. HTTPS support using GnuTLS, as well as issues
about "sudden death". A lot of other features have also
been added, including systemd integration, simplified
command line and configuration file. The man pages have
been rewritten and should be a lot more accessible now.

The only thing that's not available is a wizard, requested
in bug #627971. If needed, I'm more than willing to help
out with any such integration.

[CC'ed Jens]

Perhaps, but the only guarantee has always been that it would return a
void * pointing to contiguous memory, no reference to alignment:

http://api.zeromq.org/4-2:zmq-msg-data

I realize this is not of much consolation when things break, on the
other hand a clear separation of what's internal and what's public is
the only way to remain sane I think :-)

It would have of course been better to notice immediately, but given it
was not part of the public documented api there's no test for it.

This is an interesting suggestion so I had a look, but unfortunately I
don't think it can be done.

The pointer returned points directly to the buffer as it was written by
the TCP/IPC socket read. Since it's being written as it is received,
there is no way at that stage to know what's header and what's payload,
and insert padding. The actual decoding of the data is done at a later
stage, when it's too late to get away with just adjusting pointers.

There are 2 main problems:

- socket reads can be interrupted for many reasons and resume, no way to
know if what's going to be read is a fresh frame from byte 0 or in the
middle of a frame
- even ignoring the above problem, the frame header can be either 2 or 9
bytes long, and there's no way to know before reading the first byte

As far as I can see the only way would be to change the protocol and
have it align the payload on the sender side, but that obviously would
be a backward incompatible change which would break every single
implementation of ZMTP 3.0, which is a far, far worse outcome.

See the RFC, at the "Framing" paragraph:

https://rfc.zeromq.org/spec:23/ZMTP/

There is a 3.1 spec in draft state, so perhaps this is a change that
could be incorporated there. We do have a way to negotiate the version,
so if both peers support 3.1 then perhaps it could be done to add
padding.

https://rfc.zeromq.org/spec:37/ZMTP

Bug#846919: yade: enable parallel builds

2016-12-04 Thread Anton Gladky
Hi Emilio,

the only reason, why I disabled parallel builds for this package
is the frequent build failures due to insufficient RAM on build
servers.

This program requires around 2GB Ram/Thread because of
templates, Boost and meta-programming. I can try to reenable
parallel builds just to check, whether current configuration of
build-servers is suitable for that.

Bug#239816: Add support for atari partition tables, v4

2016-12-04 Thread John Paul Adrian Glaubitz
Hi!

This is the fourth revision of my patch to add support for atari
partition tables in parted. With this update, I have included
atari labels in the t9021-maxima.sh test. For this, I had to move
get_sector_size() to a common location so it can be used in
_implemented_disk_label().

Both patches apply cleanly against git master and pass the testsuite
without any problems. I have also verified that the atari partitions
created with this patch are properly recognized on an Atari machine
with the help of the Aranym emulator.

Thanks,
Adrian

Bug#239816: [PATCH 1/2] libparted:tests: Move get_sector_size() to common.c

2016-12-04 Thread John Paul Adrian Glaubitz
Moving get_sector_size() from disk.c to common.c allows
us to use it in _implemented_disk_label() to test for
512-byte sectors. This change is required to be able to
enable this test for atari partition tables for which
support is added in a follow-up patch.

Bug#846920: magics++: FTBFS: No rule to make target '/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libopenjp2.so', needed by 'lib/libMagPlus.so.3.0.0'

2016-12-04 Thread Emilio Pozuelo Monfort

Hi,

Your package failed to build everywhere with:

No rule to make target '/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libopenjp2.so', needed by
'lib/libMagPlus.so.3.0.0'.

Perhaps you need to build-depend on libopenjp2-7-dev.

Cheers,
Emilio

Bug#845383: connman: libxtables11 vs. libxtables12

2016-12-04 Thread Debianer
Package: connman
Followup-For: Bug #845383

Thank you, Arthur,

I found a blog, where someone built connman from source based on the
debuild command. With some modifcations the procedure worked on my Debian Sid
(unstable) distribution. The built connman binary depends on libxtables12 now.
I can
confirm, that connmand only starts, when iptables is installed.

My GUI network-app "cmst" for wireless connections is working again
(being dependent on connman).

kind regards

It shows notifications about numlock or capslock state change.

This is a Gnome Shell extension.
My laptop (Dell XPS L702x) does not have a NumLk indicator. This enables me to
see the status at a glance.

There is another extension called Keys Indicator but it also shows the status
of the Shift, Ctrl & Alt keys which I think is unecessary. Also, this extension
takes more space on the top panel.

I would like someone to package and maintain.

I tried a fresh profile and the same error happens. It should thus also still

I suppose quite a few people will still use nagios nevertheless. I'd
hence prefer to change this to icinga | nagios3. That'll make
backporting easier, too. I don't think that'd be a problem for you,
right?

Bug#843392: perhaps a -gtk2 version for stretch would be a good idea?

2016-12-04 Thread Adam Borowski
There's no hope fixing keyboard switching for stretch, right?

If so, I believe it'd be a good idea to reintroduce a GTK2 version until
upstream fixes this -- either you or me could do it. The lack of such a
basic functionality makes xfce4-terminal unfit for serious use -- many of us
have 10+ tabs per monitor -- with more on other workspaces. Being able to
switch conveniently is vital: that's why console has Alt-F1..F12[1], screen
has Ctrl-a 1, irssi has Alt-1, etc.

In theory, I could use mate-terminal which does this part right (on GTK3!)
but then, mate-terminal sucks so in the past I used xfce4-terminal on
Gnome 2. There's terminology that's crashy and also sucks. Etc...

Maybe we should have this package moved to collab-maint or python

What do you think?

Hi Joseph,

maybe collab-maint would be best, but it's your call. Do you still

Sorry, I fucked this up. I will get joseph an admin tomorrow.

Bug#846816: java.lang.NoSuchFieldError: DLU2

2016-12-04 Thread Felix Natter
hi Vincent,
hi Gregor,

I think that since the stack trace contains an invocation of GNOME's
AtkWrapper, that may be the problem (we've had problems with this
before!).

@Vincent/@Gregor: Could you please try the following (with the old
freeplane-1.5.16-2)? (please do NOT remove your ~/.config/freeplane
before)

- find out which java you are using:

$ ls -lh /etc/alternatives/java
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 46 Oct  9  2015 /etc/alternatives/java ->
/usr/lib/jvm/java-8-openjdk-amd64/jre/bin/java

- edit /etc/java-8-openjdk/accessibility.properties
(please use the correct one for your java version)

- comment out this line:
#assistive_technologies=org.GNOME.Accessibility.AtkWrapper

- start freeplane again (from console)

Thanks for Reporting & Testing,

Hi Thomas,

required fixes for uploads:
- d/changelog:
The entries for not released Debian versions should be deleted
(preferred) or marked as UNRELEASED. You also can concentrate all
entries not part of a prior (Debian) release into the most recent
entry.
- d/copyright: The license short tag should be GPL-3+ not GPL-3 (note
the "+")
- d/control: Is colorgcc really needed as B-D? Here it builds
without...
- d/control: Standard-Version is not latest.
- d/compat: Please migrate to compat level 10 -- then also autoreconf
and stuff will be run automatically.
- d/control: your homepage is down.
- d/rules: the override for dh_installchangelogs is not needed.

nitpicks, not required for upload
- As far as I can see debian/netperfmon.(install|manpages) is not
needed, picked up automatically.

it yourself. I only quoted a bit of it.

Bug#846945: skytraq: cannot set new location; in 1.5.3-1, not in 1.5.0-3

2016-12-04 Thread Jeroen N. Witmond
Package: gpsbabel
Version: 1.5.3-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I have a GPS logger, a GT-730FL-S, from which I can get the data with command

$ gpsbabel -i skytraq -f /dev/ttyACM0 -o gpx -F `date '+%Y%m%d-%H%M%S'`.gpx

in jessie, gpsbabel version 1.5.0-3.

Today, the same command fails in stretch, gpsbabel version 1.5.3-1, with
message
  skytraq: cannot set new location

It did work in stretch on Nov 27 13:57, but I apparently updated gpsbabel
on Nov 27 16:18. Today was the first use since that update.

Sorry if I was unclear. In the ResourceLinkFactory class,
CVE-2016-6797.patch adds among other things the new method

private static boolean validateGlobalResourceAccess(String globalName)

However, the upstream version 7.0.73 there is another change to this new
method, which is the loop over the parent class loaders I was referring
to above.

It seems that when preparing CVE-2016-6797-part2.patch, this change was
left out, but it may be the change that actually makes things work.

I can build and run Debian tomcat7 on both wheezy and jessie, so if you
would like me to make any further tests, please let me know.

Thanks,
Arne

HDF5-1.10 transition is done and libhdf5-java and libhdf5-jni are now in
unstable.

And with pretty-print option of chromium, this is where the error occurs,

(function(t) {
return t.widget("ui.autocomplete", {
version: "1.12.1",

After purge and reinstall, the issue is still there.
On git.fosscommunity.in libjs-jquery-ui is 1.10.1+dfsg-1 and it works.

So I think this was introduced in libjs-jquery-ui 1.12.1+dfsg, there was
some major reshuffle. See https://tracker.debian.org/news/810960

Build jquery-ui.js and jquery-ui.css from source with manual created
build system (until Debian has grunt)
 - total rework of how the package is built

After downgrading to 1.10, its working again

The recent upload of naga 3.0 [1] broke jmol. I'm looking into a patch
to port jmol to use libnaga-java_3.0.

Cheers,
