Hi,

Maybe a dependency on gconf2 and its version has to be added to the package?

Best Regards.

Bug#493197: cmake: Missed assertion leading to Abandon

2008-08-01 Thread Yves Caniou
Hi,

I deeply apologize. You are right, one file was missing.
But then, I have a question that may be more cmake related: I don't understand
why cmake says Tried extensions .c .C .c++ .cc .cpp .cxx .m .M .mm .h .hh .h++
.hm .hpp .hxx .in .txx, because if so, it would have seen the file which I had
renamed from .c to .cc, haven't it? And, adding the correct extension (.cc
instead of c) in the CMakelist.txt, it worked wihtout incident... Am I missing
something?

Thank you!

.Yves.

Check your file, for experience this is likely a problem in your Cmake project
and not a cmake's issue. What happens here is cmake error output is not very
 clear...
And please, paste all the output, your bug reminders me to:
 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=488508

Ah, forgot, this problem is because you are adding a source file that is not
there.

Could you reproduce the segmentation fault and get a backtrace ?

If that's the case I'll get you a debug package.

So that is really strange. Do you have
   /usr/bin/kpsewhich
and if yes, what please is your
   PATH
setting. Of course nothing can work if these binaries are not present,
but since texlive-base-bin are shipping them and we are in the postinst
script we should be able to call them.

So it looks your system is seriously hosed.

 Best wishes

   dpkg-deb -x
 /var/cache/apt/archives/texlive-base-bin_2007.dfsg.1-2_i386.deb foobar ls
 foobar/usr/bin

If you see there kpsewhich and other programs than something is really
 strange with your system.

Then there is something strange because:

#ls -l foobar/usr/bin/kpsewhich
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 10740 2007-11-19 12:07 foobar/usr/bin/kpsewhich

Bug#452070: texlive-base-bin: Unable to install

2007-12-10 Thread Yves Caniou
Dear Norbert,

I just upgraded the two following packages, on behalf to see if something
could improve the situation with texlive. All worked perfectly, the package
texlive-base-bin has been configured after that the 2 were processed, and no
error has been reported.

http://ftp.de.debian.org testing/main texinfo 4.11.dfsg.1-2 [710kB]
http://ftp.de.debian.org testing/main tex-common 1.10 [710kB]

Thank you again for your help!

Best Regards.

.Yves.

Bug#511264: k3b: fails to burn DVD

2009-01-08 Thread Yves Caniou
Package: k3b
Version: 1.0.5-3
Severity: important

When a blank DVD is in the burner, k3b running, the KDE pop-up asking me the
action to
do with it (creating a new DVD with k3b or not) rises every 6 seconds. Making an
action or not to that window does nothing, an other pop rises again.

In the xterm (k3b is launched from a konsole), I have the following output:

(K3bDevice::ScsiCommand) failed:
 command:GET PERFORMANCE (ac)
 errorcode: 70

Thank you!

Hmm not quite sure what's going on there. Is /usr/src/linux-2.6.33
literally the directory you built the kernel image in? (i.e. wget
 source, extract, configure, build, boot?)

2.6.33 isn't supported by BLCR yet, but this hasn't hit the point
where I'd expect to be seeing the unsupported error message. I'll take
a look at reproducing this situation so it works correctly for no
Debian package kernels with DKMS. It may take a while for me to get
 around to it though.

 Alan

/usr/src/linux-2.6.33 is the directory where I made (make oldconfig make
bzImage make modules make modules_install make install). I also have
the symbolic link /usr/src/linux as shown there:

What does config.log say? Normally there will be something more
explicit about the configuration error in there.

The first error appears 2 times with:
configure:7917: gcc -E conftest.c
conftest.c:15:28: error: ac_nonexistent.h: No such file or directory

Then a warning:
configure:8616: gcc -c -g -O2 -fno-rtti -fno-exceptions conftest.c 5
cc1: warning: command line option -fno-rtti is valid for C++/ObjC++ but not
for C

Then again the error with the missing file with:
configure:13576: g++ -E  conftest.cpp
conftest.cpp:28:28: error: ac_nonexistent.h: No such file or directory

And finally with:
configure:18642: result: no UTS_RELEASE could be extracted
configure:18656: error: Directory /usr/src/linux-2.6.33 does not appear to
contain a Linux kernel build

Is it possible to see the whole config.log from this? There's
something weird there, but I can't say what so far.

Here's what comes right after the kernel build error:

Bug#573112: It is just a 2.6.33 problem

I've taken a closer look at this problem and can confirm that it is
just a problem with 2.6.33. Quite a few files have moved around. I've
got partial patches for a few of the changes, but I just noticed the
upstream author apparently already has patches which enable build but
hang at run time during testing. I'll continue to look into this
 further.

 Alan

Hello,

I've seen the update of the libcr packages from 8.2.10 to 8.2-11.
I don't know about the changelog since apt-listchanges gives no information.
I have updated my kernel to 2.6.33.2 since last report, but the update leads
to the same problem:
error: Could not find a directory [...]

Cheers.

.Yves.

Hi!

Here is a trace of a memory corruption. It happened (and happens a lot, in
general a click on previous is sufficiant) on the site http://lang-8.com/
Hope this helps.

Best Regards.

Bug#662824: plasma-netbook: Impossible to install the package, dependency issues

2012-03-06 Thread Yves Caniou
Package: plasma-netbook
Version: 4:4.6.5-4
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?

I tried to install the package on a new chrooted deboostrapped installation.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
 ineffective)?

apt-get install plasma-netbook
(of course, same result with aptitude)

   * What was the outcome of this action?

The exact output is the following (french output):

Les paquets suivants contiennent des dépendances non satisfaites :
plasma-netbook : Dépend: kdebase-runtime mais ne sera pas installé
  Dépend: plasma-widgets-workspace (= 4:4.6.5-4)
mais ne sera pas installé
Recommande: kdebase-workspace mais ne sera pas
installé
E: Paquets défectueux

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

Installation with corresponding dependencies.

Cheers.
