Bug#627175: amarok: Amarok crashes the Sawfish session
Package: amarok Version: 2.4.0-2 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable Since the last update (yesterday, 17/05/2011) and the installation of the latest kernel (2.6.38-2-686-bigmem), Amarok crashes the Sawfish session, but when I click on a scrollbar. Note that launching XMMS (the very old one that is still installed) has the same effect. Sawfish just crashes and returns to GDM. In fact, it's not only an amarok bug, but my whole Debian Wheezy box is unstable since yesterday: * Launching Banshee works but right clicking crashes the X session - GDM. * WMaker crashes - GDM. * In a KDE session, clicking on the KDE icon crashes KDE - GDM. The part of debian/rules that ensures that all V*.pm files are generated from PODs is assuming that each and every .pm is generated from POD. Therefore it removes all V*.pm files and generates one .pm file for each POD in data/. However, since Perl 5.12.0÷5.12.3 have the same API, the .pm files for 5.12.1÷5.12.3 are just wrappers that inherit from the 5.12.0 file. They have no corresponding source POD .bz in data/. The net result is that the .pm files for 5.12.1÷5.12.3 are missing from the package, although upstream supplies them. Fix is coming soon. Bug#627110: ant: FTBFS on s390
On Tue, May 17, 2011 at 11:59 PM, Niels Thykier ni...@thykier.net wrote: Package: ant Version: 1.8.2-1 Severity: serious Tags: help Justification: FTBFS Hey As the title suggests, ant does not do too well on s390[1]. I had ant given back a couple of days and it gave exactly the same error, so I doubt it is a temporary issue. By the looks of it, my best guess is that openjdk-6 chokes here. Patch, fix or just a workaround appreciated. Just a few pointers. 1. Looking at the log it seems javadoc generation is choking. Ant's javadoc task always forks the process. So it is possible that the buildd doesn't have enough memory for allocation and hence the failure. 2. As a workaround you can disable the javadoc building on s390. This will need some 'trial and error' process and you will need access to the s390 machine. I had implemented similar change in java-gnome packaging. You can take a look at it.
