Bug#731704: patch
Le 11/03/2014 05:53, ygrek a écrit : FTR, here is the patch used in OPAM : https://github.com/ocaml/opam-repository/blob/master/packages/reins/reins.0.1a/files/fix_build.patch Thanks for the pointer. I'll import the relevant parts to Debian. Please note that patch was updated recently to install reins.cmi, without it the library was effectively unusable. reins.cmi is already installed by the Debian package [1]. Apparently, the patch doing that has been present since 2009 in Debian [2]. Bug#733556: binfmt detectors for Windows executables
On Sun, 9 Mar 2014 10:40:42 +, Colin Watson cjwat...@debian.org wrote: On Sat, Mar 08, 2014 at 01:44:15PM +0100, Stephen Kitt wrote: I was working on restoring binfmt support to wine (http://bugs.debian.org/733556) and I came across the detectors spec in binfmt-support. The latter mentions detection code to handle Windows binaries which Alp Toker has - is that still the case, Alp? I quote: As far as wine is concerned, the modification should be as follows: add /usr/lib/wine/binfmt-detector-wine or similar with the Win32 format detection code (Alp has the details of this, it's a few dozen lines of C), and add 'detector /usr/lib/wine/binfmt-detector-wine' to /usr/share/binfmts/wine. This was for Mono. I think the descendant of this has wound up in debian/detector/binfmt-detector-cli.c in the Debian mono source package; looking at that it should be fairly straightforward to invert (or similar) the relevant bit of logic for Win32. It appears that 2.02~beta2-7 has been uploaded to unstable even if the changelog indicates that it was targeted to experimental. -- Package-specific info: *** BEGIN /proc/mounts /dev/mapper/mdxinventi-root / ext3 rw,relatime,errors=remount-ro,data=ordered 0 0 /dev/sda1 /boot ext2 rw,relatime 0 0 /dev/mapper/mdxinventi-home /home ext4 rw,relatime,data=ordered 0 0 *** END /proc/mounts *** BEGIN /boot/grub/device.map (hd0) /dev/disk/by-id/ata-ST9500423AS_5WR0GXYW *** END /boot/grub/device.map *** BEGIN /boot/grub/grub.cfg # # DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE # # It is automatically generated by grub-mkconfig using templates # from /etc/grub.d and settings from /etc/default/grub # ### BEGIN /etc/grub.d/00_header ### if [ -s $prefix/grubenv ]; then set have_grubenv=true load_env fi if [ ${next_entry} ] ; then set default=${next_entry} set next_entry= save_env next_entry set boot_once=true else set default=0 fi if [ x${feature_menuentry_id} = xy ]; then menuentry_id_option=--id else menuentry_id_option= fi export menuentry_id_option if [ ${prev_saved_entry} ]; then set saved_entry=${prev_saved_entry} save_env saved_entry set prev_saved_entry= save_env prev_saved_entry set boot_once=true fi function savedefault { if [ -z ${boot_once} ]; then saved_entry=${chosen} save_env saved_entry fi } function load_video { if [ x$feature_all_video_module = xy ]; then insmod all_video else insmod efi_gop insmod efi_uga insmod ieee1275_fb insmod vbe insmod vga insmod video_bochs insmod video_cirrus fi } if [ x$feature_default_font_path = xy ] ; then font=unicode else insmod part_msdos insmod lvm insmod ext2 set root='lvmid/nqfp4d-BOkJ-OIVj-Uigv-ysEo-NOTR-8Xy1pJ/0TBnxh-eEPl-YGJO-6Q4E-9MRF-6qic-fIRzyl' if [ x$feature_platform_search_hint = xy ]; then search --no-floppy --fs-uuid --set=root --hint='lvmid/nqfp4d-BOkJ-OIVj-Uigv-ysEo-NOTR-8Xy1pJ/0TBnxh-eEPl-YGJO-6Q4E-9MRF-6qic-fIRzyl' af89a290-9c6f-4039-8d5c-95aa75654776 else search --no-floppy --fs-uuid --set=root af89a290-9c6f-4039-8d5c-95aa75654776 fi font=/usr/share/grub/unicode.pf2 fi if loadfont $font ; then set gfxmode=auto load_video insmod gfxterm set locale_dir=$prefix/locale set lang=lt_LT insmod gettext fi terminal_output gfxterm if [ ${recordfail} = 1 ] ; then set timeout=-1 else if [ x$feature_timeout_style = xy ] ; then set timeout_style=menu set timeout=5 # Fallback normal timeout code in case the timeout_style feature is # unavailable. else set timeout=5 fi fi ### END /etc/grub.d/00_header ### ### BEGIN /etc/grub.d/05_debian_theme ### insmod part_msdos insmod lvm insmod ext2 set root='lvmid/nqfp4d-BOkJ-OIVj-Uigv-ysEo-NOTR-8Xy1pJ/0TBnxh-eEPl-YGJO-6Q4E-9MRF-6qic-fIRzyl' if [ x$feature_platform_search_hint = xy ]; then search --no-floppy --fs-uuid --set=root --hint='lvmid/nqfp4d-BOkJ-OIVj-Uigv-ysEo-NOTR-8Xy1pJ/0TBnxh-eEPl-YGJO-6Q4E-9MRF-6qic-fIRzyl' af89a290-9c6f-4039-8d5c-95aa75654776 else search --no-floppy --fs-uuid --set=root af89a290-9c6f-4039-8d5c-95aa75654776 fi insmod png if background_image /usr/share/images/desktop-base/joy-grub.png; then set color_normal=white/black set color_highlight=black/white else set menu_color_normal=cyan/blue set menu_color_highlight=white/blue fi ### END /etc/grub.d/05_debian_theme ### ### BEGIN /etc/grub.d/10_linux ### function gfxmode { set gfxpayload=${1} } set linux_gfx_mode= export linux_gfx_mode menuentry 'Debian GNU/Linux' --class debian --class gnu-linux --class gnu --class os $menuentry_id_option 'gnulinux-simple-af89a290-9c6f-4039-8d5c-95aa75654776' { load_video insmod gzio insmod part_msdos insmod ext2 set root='hd0,msdos1' if [ x$feature_platform_search_hint = xy ]; then search --no-floppy --fs-uuid --set=root --hint-bios=hd0,msdos1 --hint-efi=hd0,msdos1 --hint-baremetal=ahci0,msdos1 --hint='hd0,msdos1' 77b9f482-78cc-4625-885e-1d6489b84fc1 else search --no-floppy --fs-uuid --set=root 77b9f482-78cc-4625-885e-1d6489b84fc1 fi echo'Loading Linux 3.13-1-amd64 ...' linux /vmlinuz-3.13-1-amd64 root=UUID=af89a290-9c6f-4039-8d5c-95aa75654776 ro splash quiet echo'Loading initial ramdisk ...' initrd /initrd.img-3.13-1-amd64 } submenu 'Advanced options for Debian GNU/Linux' $menuentry_id_option

The library SONAME is libmysqlclient.so.18, as it was in 5.5, the fact that the version bumped from 5.5 to 5.6 is irrelevant. This should still be libmysqlclient18, and should still ship the link. Any attempt at making this co-installable with the mysql-5.5 version of the library will ultimately fail, as they're the same SONAME, and ldconfig will only generate a link to one, and ld.so will only be able to resolve one. Thanks but please modify debian/control.m4 and debian/rules.conf, not debian/control, which is generated. I cannot answer your question myself because these build-dependencies are from the GCC sources. doko, can you shed some light on this? -- Ludovic Brenta. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Hello Andreas, Perhaps you could simply verify if there is even Ruby 2.0 support and we simply need to upgrade? Just make sure you will not waste your time on old code. Feel free to commit directly to Debian Med SVN (any DD can do so) if this seems to be more simple. sorry for the late answer, I had a look at the new upstream version. seems to be not better. It's the only think that I could think of if #{HOME} means to use the variable HOME and ENV is a link to the environment. And yes, the nightly cron job that updates apt. But it could also be that there is a hidden place in the code too where you don't use the variable. Sorry, that I do not know what exactly was leading to this. And as I already deleted the .cache in / I cannot see anymore when it was created. But I will have surely an eye on it. I added a branch for my libsbml5 staff, I removed ruby bindings and fixed other build problems; debian/patches/doxygen.patch fixes simply a wrong filename, while debian/bin/python_fix.sh is an very ugly hack for proper building the python bindings - works for me. Bug#741342: /usr/sbin/update-grub: update-grub writes root=UUID= to grub.cfg for LVM2, renders machine unbootable
Hi While using UUIDs for lvm2 logical volumes works within grub2 itself, it does blow up in the initramfs integration hooks of lvm2: http://anonscm.debian.org/viewvc/pkg-lvm/lvm2/trunk/debian/initramfs-tools/lvm2/scripts/local-top/lvm2?view=markup [line 40ff] # Make sure that we have a d-m path dev=${dev#/dev/mapper/} if [ $dev = $1 ]; then return 1 fi so without a root=/dev/mapper/[...] definition for the rootfs, the default provider of linux-initramfs-tool in Debian never even tries to assemble the volume groups that make up the rootfs. Out of curiosity I rigged that particular regexp to be always false, but lvm2 didn't manage to find a rootfs on a logical volume then either (complaining that UUIDs were not valid for logical volumes). Accordingly there would be several changes and versioned dependencies (Breaks) needed to the lvm2 initramfs-tools hooks, before using anything but /dev/mapper/... rootfs definitions might be viable for grub2. Bug#702005: libpython2.7: Upgrade to libpython2.7 2.7.3-7 fails, breaking python entirely
Control: found -1 2.7.3-6 According to python2.7-minimal's README.Debian, the _ssl and _hashlib are supposed to be included in the -minimal package. python2.7-minimal_2.7.3-6_amd64.deb indeed includes them both, but on every other architecture they are shipped in python2.7. Worse, if you rebuild wheezy's src:python2.7 in a clean environment, the modules move to python2.7, likely leading to upgrade problem similar to that reported a while ago: * Vincent Lefevre vinc...@vinc17.net, 2013-03-01, 17:00: Unpacking replacement python2.7 ... dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/python2.7_2.7.3-7_amd64.deb (--unpack): trying to overwrite '/usr/lib/python2.7/lib-dynload/_hashlib.so', which is also in package python2.7-minimal 2.7.3-6 dpkg-deb: error: subprocess paste was killed by signal (Broken pipe) I believe the bug lies in the following part of debian/rules: DH_COMPAT=2 dh_movefiles -p$(p_min) --sourcedir=$(d) \ usr/bin/python$(VER) \ usr/share/man/man1/python$(VER).1 \ $(foreach i,$(MIN_MODS),$(scriptdir)/$(i).py) \ $(foreach i,$(MIN_PACKAGES),$(scriptdir)/$(i)) \ $(foreach i,$(MIN_ENCODINGS),$(scriptdir)/$(i)) \ $(scriptdir)/config/Makefile \ usr/include/$(PVER)/pyconfig.h \ $(scriptdir)/site.py \ $(shell cd $(d); for i in $(MIN_EXTS); do \ test -e $(scriptdir)/lib-dynload/$$i.so \ echo $(scriptdir)/lib-dynload/$$i.so; \ done; true) The culprit appears to be that make expands $(shell ... ) too early, when no *.so files exist yet. Replacing $(shell ... ) with $$( ... ), and then adding appropriate Breaks+Replaces should fix this bug. (I haven't tested the proposed fix in practice yet.) It still don't understand why this bug didn't trigger for the amd64 package. Perhaps the build log could shed some light on it. -- Jakub Wilk -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Bug#741393: cigi-ccl: FTBFS on 32-bit platforms: symbols not quite as expected
Source: cigi-ccl Version: 3.3.3a+svn818-2 Severity: serious Justification: fails to build from source Builds of cigi-ccl for 32-bit architectures such as i386 have been failing with dh_makeshlibs errors because some signatures wind up varying slightly between 32-bit and 64-bit builds, leading to different mangled names. See, for instance, https://buildd.debian.org/status/fetch.php?pkg=cigi-cclarch=i386ver=3.3.3a%2Bsvn818-2stamp=1394543859 Could you please account for these differences? Bug#740995: [gimp-plugin-registry]
Package: gimp-plugin-registry Version: 5.20120621 --- Please enter the report below this line. --- Dear Package Maintainer, I see gimp-plugin-registry has been removed from testing, should we expect a new version compiled with libglew1.10 or it will just be dropped from Debian? Thanks, Paolo Daniel Bolton: I installed gimp-plugin-registry when libglew1.7 (1.7.0-3) was still available in testing and the filters work fine. libglew1.7 does not seem to interfere with libglew1.10. --- System information. --- Architecture: amd64 Kernel: Linux 3.13-1-amd64 Debian Release: jessie/sid 500 testing security.debian.org 500 testing ftp.us.debian.org 500 stable dl.google.com 100 unstableftp.us.debian.org --- Package information. --- Depends(Version) | Installed -+-== gimp(= 2.6) | 2.8.6-1 libatk1.0-0 (= 1.12.4) | libblas3 | OR libblas.so.3 | OR libatlas3-base | libc6 (= 2.3) | libcairo2 (= 1.2.4) | libfftw3-3 | libfontconfig1(= 2.9.0) | libfreetype6 (= 2.2.1) | libgcc1 (= 1:4.1.1) | libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 (= 2.22.0) | libgimp2.0 (= 2.6) | libgl1-mesa-glx | OR libgl1 | libglew1.7(= 1.7.0) | libglib2.0-0 (= 2.31.8) | libglu1-mesa | OR libglu1 | libgtk2.0-0 (= 2.14.0) | libgtkglext1 | libice6 (= 1:1.0.0) | libjpeg8 (= 8c) | liblapack3 | liblcms1 (= 1.15-1) | liblqr-1-0(= 0.4.0) | libpango1.0-0(= 1.14.0) | libsm6 | libstdc++6 (= 4.6) | libtiff4 ( 3.9.5-3~) | libx11-6 | libxmu6 | libxt6 | python | libtiff-tools| xdg-utils| Recommends (Version) | Installed =-+-=== gimp-gmic | 1.5.7.1-4+b1 Suggests (Version) | Installed ===-+-=== icc-profiles| 2.0.1-1
Bug#741324: rpm regulary creates directory /~
On Tue, Mar 11, 2014 at 11:01:38 +0100, Klaus Ethgen wrote: rpm did create /.rpmdb before and now it does much more annoyingly create /~/.rpmdb. Confirmed here as well with the default configuration when rpm runs as root with HOME undefined. This is due to the change in 4.11.2-1 that attempted to fix the problem with /.rpmdb, but apparently ~ as a fallback is not doing what it was meant to do. You might also be interested in #741399 I just reported, based on findings from Ubuntu bug #1069350, requesting dkms to avoid calling rpm which should prevent creation of these directories. This interaction between dkms and rpm appears to be the primary cause. Do you have dkms built kernel modules on your system? -- mike signature.asc Description: Digital signature
