I'm not sure there are buildds with more RAM. Note that the package failed
in
the exact same way on kfreebsd-i386, which has 3GB of RAM + 4GB of swap.
Since
all these arches are 32bits, more memory is probably not going to help.
Instead, perhaps you can make the build take less memory, e.g. by reducing
the
optimizations (-O1?) or using some flags such as the linker's
--no-keep-memory.
Mapnik 2.2 used to pass builds with some of those options, also with
removing
-ftemplate-depth-300.
That last option i restored with mapnik 3.0, to see what would happen with
upstream options,
since so much has changed in that project.
I'm preparing now an upload with that option removed.
The new uploaded didn't resolve the build failures, it still failed on
{hurd,kfreebsd}-i386 mips*.
Since it's a recurring problem on mips*, maybe exclude these
architectures and request removal of the package on mips*.

I don't think this bug should be colsed, instead maybe keep it as a wishlist item wishing that real measures to be implemented instead of relying on external blocks. When I submitted this bugreport I did't know upstream dropped this functionality, I thought it is just some minor prob in parsing the options. So ofcourse I didn't know it is just documentation bug in current package. Anyway, I think removing this functionality is inacceptable, because it is the wrong approach as described above. Look. Can be specified more than once. network_interface Network interface(s) to bind to (e.g. eth0), comma delimited. This option can be specified more than once. If unspecified or empty, minidlnad binds to all the valid network interfaces (except loopback). But there are some questions with them. A new version of unicode-data was just uploaded (8.0-1), so gucharmap
needs an update from upstream to build with the new version.
Since files from unicode-data therefore form part of the source of
gucharmap, unicode-data should be present in the Built-Using field,
which is documented in this section of policy:

Hi,
an upgrade test with piuparts revealed that your package installs files
over existing symlinks and possibly overwrites files owned by other
packages. This usually means an old version of the package shipped a
symlink but that was later replaced by a real (and non-empty)
directory. This kind of overwriting another package's files cannot be
detected by dpkg.
This was observed on the following upgrade paths:
lenny - squeeze - wheezy - jessie - stretch
For /usr/share/doc/PACKAGE this may not be problematic as long as both
packages are installed, ship byte-for-byte identical files and are
upgraded in lockstep. But once one of the involved packages gets
removed, the other one will lose its documentation files, too,
including the copyright file, which is a violation of Policy 12.5:

For other overwritten locations anything interesting may happen.
Note that dpkg intentionally does not replace directories with symlinks
and vice versa, you need the maintainer scripts to do this.

It is recommended to use the dpkg-maintscript-helper commands
'dir_to_symlink' and 'symlink_to_dir' (available since dpkg 1.17.14)
to perform the conversion, ideally using d/$PACKAGE.mainstscript.
Do not forget to add 'Pre-Depends: ${misc:Pre-Depends}' in d/control.
