   * New upstream release

   * Drop 02_hyphen_as_minus_sign.diff, 06_man_cleanup.diff,
 11_compile_warnings.diff, 12_ssl_check.diff. All applied upstream
   * Updated 07_automake_missing_options.diff to reflect changes to upstream

   * Fix typo in manpage, 11_smtpd.conf.5_typo.diff
   * Update the copyright file
   * Drop our local copy of the upstream changelog
   * Recommend opensmtpd-extras: the tables and filters have been forked off
 into a separate project upstream
   * (Build-)Depend on libasr: this library has also forked off into a
 stand-alone project
   * Drop useless build-dependencies on autoconf/automake/libtool: these are
 already brought in by dh-autoreconf
   * Update lintian overrides: we drop overrides for filters moved to
opensmtpd-extras, add overrides due to a broken dep5 check, and
override spelling-error-in-copyright (the error is in the license text)
   * Update configure options in rules to continue building the db table and
 makemap

Hi,

I've been blocking this package from entering testing, but as Patrick
Matthäi questions that choice I'm filing this bug for the record.

It is my opinion, as a member of the release team, that we shouldn't
ship this package in stable.

This driver duplicates functionality available in the r8169 module in
the standard linux kernel, which is going to create a support burden,
the ITP was NAKed by the kernel maintainers, and apparently you agreed
in <4ebfcf49.5070...@abeckmann.de> to not let this enter wheezy.

Cheers,
Julien

Closing this bug now to let r8168 into stretch/non-free.

This is a serious bug as it makes installation fail, and violates
sections 7.6.1 and 10.1 of the policy. An optimal solution would
consist in only one of the packages installing that file, and renaming
or removing the file in the other package. Depending on the
circumstances you might also consider Replace relations or file
diversions. If the conflicting situation cannot be resolved then, as a
last resort, the two packages have to declare a mutual

Bug#803778: wine-development: arch all FTBFS on 64-bit architectures

2015-11-02 Thread Jens Reyer
Package: wine-development
Version: 1.7.54-1
Severity: serious
Justification: arch indep FTBFS on 64-bit architectures

Hi

The manpages are now built by upstream together with the binaries [1,
2]. The wine manpage is built together with wine32 (there is no separate
manpage for wine64). So manpages are only built in arch specific
builds, but not in arch independent.
Since atm the manpages are part of the package wine-development (arch
all), there is a FTBFS on arch "all" if the buildd for "all" is 64-bit.

The amd64 and arm64 builds only succeeded because the buildds only build
arch specific packages there.

I'm filing this bug to prevent the incomplete builds to migrate to
testing (don't know if this would be possible).

Currently I'm testing a fix by simply installing the manpages in the
wine32-development package. I will commit that soon.

This fix implies that the wine script and the links in /usr/bin don't
have a manpage if only wine64 is installed, but not wine32. Since this
setup isn't supported upstream, I don't see this as a real issue. (Note
todo: lintian-overrides).

Bug#801265: verified that the 14.08.2 release has the fix

2015-11-02 Thread Chris Knadle
Verified that the 14.08.2 release fixes the compile. (Thanks Tobias)

The upgrade is quick because the patches still all apply without
modification. I'm including a debdiff of what I did to test this in case it
saves some maintainer time.

Bug#803916: dballe: not installable in sid

2015-11-02 Thread Ralf Treinen
Package: dballe
Version: 6.8-1
Severity: serious
User: trei...@debian.org
Usertag: edos-uninstallable

Hi, dballe is not installable in sid on any architecture, at least since
2015-08-02. The reason is that it depends both on libstdc++6 and
libdballe6. However, libstdc++6 (5.2.1-23) declares a Breaks with
libdballe6 (<= 6.8-1).

Cheers -Ralf.

Not needed.

There is currently a patch waiting upstream:

I will upload a fixed gerritlib soon.

This is an automatic notification regarding your Bug report
which was filed against the jeepyb package:

Thank you, Mathieu. :)

You may have noticed this already, but gerritlib also depends on
python3-pbr < 1.0 and is thus also affected. I'm not sure
whether I need to file a separate bug on that or not.

Bug#801265: Build problem has been fixed upstream

2015-11-02 Thread Felix Lechner
A recent upload to Mentors fixes this issue. It should be in the archive
shortly.

Should Britney remove the package from testing on Nov 5, you can still get
it from unstable. Just download it from https://packages.debian.org or via
apt.

Bug#803689: Acknowledgement (pypy: DEFAULT_SOABI at pypy-26 while DEFAULT_MAGIC_TAG = 'pypy-40')

2015-11-02 Thread Stefano Rivera
Further discussion in #debian-python:
21:57 < p1otr> from what I see new pypy still doesn't privide all these config
vars I use
21:58 < p1otr> except for MULTIARCH
21:58 < tumbleweed> such as?
21:59 < p1otr> "SOABI", "MULTIARCH", "INCLUDEPY", "LIBPL", "LDLIBRARY"
21:59 < tumbleweed> those are new in Py3k, right?
21:59 < tumbleweed> at least, I think SOABI si. Dunno about the others
22:00 < p1otr> no, but f.e. last one is used only in cmake
22:00 < tumbleweed> dh_pypy runs under /usr/bin/python3, so is exposing that
config even
usedful?
22:00 < p1otr> so only first two are important
22:00 < tumbleweed> right, it looks like pypy really should provide SOABI
22:01 < tumbleweed> they did version tagged .so files, upstream
22:03 < p1otr> so which solution do you prefer? I'm OK with both of them, can
implement the
   second one tomorrow evening
22:03 < p1otr> and do an upload of dh-python, I already have quite a but of new
stuff
22:03 < tumbleweed> I'm guessing the second one is the right approach
22:03 < tumbleweed> it makes new pypy releases a whole lot easier
22:04 < tumbleweed> but means we have to do some work
22:04 < tumbleweed> what do you need, to do it? SOABI?
22:05 < p1otr> SOABI is probably not required, but it would be great if you
could provide it
   (and send patch upstream)
22:05 < tumbleweed> yeah, I'm looking at that now
22:06 < p1otr> I usually get these config vars from distutils.sysconfig, but in
case of pypy
   it's taken from sysconfig
22:07 < p1otr> ah, right, distutils is used only in older cpython versions
22:08 < p1otr> so sysconfig.get_config_vars("SOABI", "MULTIARCH", "INCLUDEPY",
"LIBPL",
   "LDLIBRARY") is what I use
22:10 < p1otr> (and it doesn't matter in which language is dh_pypy written, I
Popen pypy)
22:12 < tumbleweed> right
22:29 < tumbleweed> p1otr: I don't think pypy will ever provide a LIBPL
22:29 < tumbleweed> it's currently not built shared, so having no LDLIBRARY is
sane
22:30 < tumbleweed> INCLUDEPY is a bit of a mess :/
22:32 < tumbleweed> p1otr: and you think pypy-26 is a reasonable virtual
package?
22:33 < p1otr> it is, I think I'd use pypy-abi-26, though
22:34 < tumbleweed> yeah, that's clearer
22:34 < tumbleweed> but it means we have to mangle the abi :P
22:34 < tumbleweed> still, it's a simple mangle
22:35 < p1otr> time for bed here, I'll take care of it tomorrow (late, I play
football on
   Mondays)
22:35 < tumbleweed> thanks

And #pypy:
07:18 < tumbleweed> arigato: https://bugs.debian.org/803689 is this sane?
07:19 < arigato> hi tumbleweed and all
07:19 < tumbleweed> (option 2, that is)
07:19 < tumbleweed> arigato: hi :)
07:20 < arigato> I tried to change that in order to fix the name of the
CPython-module .so
 files
07:21 < arigato> it's likely that it will change again
07:21 < tumbleweed> the change applies to cffi .so files too
07:21 < tumbleweed> which is fine for Debian
07:21 < arigato> yes, so that they have the same name
07:22 < tumbleweed> am I right that pypy's bytecode hasn't changed in ages? I
seem to recall
that when I first started packaging pypy, the bytecode was
still in flux
07:22 < arigato> in the future though, maybe they should have different names
and contain a
tag that gets changed only when there is really an
incompatiblity
07:22 < tumbleweed> it seems that's the way you've gone now
07:22 < arigato> not yet? they have the same name
07:23 < arigato> I mean the same extension, ".pypy-26.so"
07:23 < tumbleweed> well, I mean pypy 4.0.0 uses the pypy-26 tag
07:23 < arigato> I mean that both CPython C API modules and CFFI modules use
".pypy-26.so"
07:23 < tumbleweed> yes
07:23 < arigato> but we will probably change that in the future
07:23 < tumbleweed> oh, "they should have different names" means different from
each other
07:23 < arigato> yes
07:23 < tumbleweed> yeah, probably
07:24 < arigato> and indeed there is also the bytecode .pyc version
07:24 < arigato> the bytecode format tends to not change any more, right
07:25 < tumbleweed> yeah, I think that was an issue as cPython was changing,
but in 2.x
that's basically over
07:25 < arigato> we added a few custom bytecodes long ago
07:25 < tumbleweed> yeah
07:26 < tumbleweed> ok, so I'm going to keep debian pypy using .pypy-26.so
(well
.pypy-26-x86_64-linux-gnu.so or similar) and do
.pypy-26.pyc too
07:26 < tumbleweed> then revisit this when we need to
07:27 < arigato> if you have some suggestion for upstream, they are welcome
07:27 < arigato> I think that cffi can be kept backward- and forward-compatible
07:27 < tumbleweed> so, it seems the only thing right now, is to expose SOABI
in sysconfig
07:28 < arigato> .pyc too
07:28 < arigato> but maybe cpyext will see big changes
07:29 < tumbleweed> I've tried to incorporate cffi's version ranges into Debian
package

Package: libdevmapper-dev
Version: 2.02.127-1
Severity: serious

Dear Maintainer,

There are a couple of problems with the dependencies of libdevmapper-dev
and/or the included devmapper.pc file.

The /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/pkgconfig/devmapper.pc file
states:
Requires.private: libudev librt

This means packages build against/using devmapper.pc
will fail to configure. As an example it might look like this:

configure:6523: checking for LVM_DEPS
configure:6533: $PKG_CONFIG --exists --print-errors "polkit-gobject-1 >= 0.92
 $POLKIT_REQUIREMENT
 lvm2app
 gudev-1.0 >= 164"
Package librt was not found in the pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `librt.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
Package 'librt', required by 'devmapper', not found
configure:6539: $? = 1
configure:6559: $PKG_CONFIG --exists --print-errors "polkit-gobject-1 >= 0.92
 $POLKIT_REQUIREMENT
 lvm2app
 gudev-1.0 >= 164"
Package librt was not found in the pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `librt.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
Package 'librt', required by 'devmapper', not found
configure:6565: $? = 1
configure:6582: result: no

The solution is to include a dependency on the package shipping
the relevant .pc files, eg libudev.pc and librt.pc.

The first one is easily fixed since libudev.pc file is included in
libudev-dev. Just make libdevmapper-dev depend on libudev-dev.

The librt.pc file does not seem to be shipped by any package in Debian.
Likely the generation of devmapper.pc was not right, since the
the Requires.prive line seems to be generated according to:
http://sources.debian.net/src/lvm2/2.02.127-1/libdm/libdevmapper.pc.in/#L11

My suspicion is that @RT_PC@ should have ended up empty on Debian.

The configure.in script seems to be flawed by assuming that if there's
a librt.so, then there's also a librt.pc
cf. AC_CHECK_LIB vs PKG_CHECK_MODULES.

As an alternative you might want to convince the glibc maintainers
to ship the/a librt.pc file.

Regards,
Andreas Henriksson

Package: libdevmapper-dev
Version: 2:1.02.104-1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

Use of pkg-config with libdevmapper isn't working due to a
Requires.private dependence on librt. There's no librt.pc file, so this
breaks:

[skynet](0) $ pkg-config --print-requires-private devmapper
Package librt was not found in the pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `librt.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
Package 'librt', required by 'devmapper', not found
[skynet](1) $

I think what you want here is a Libs.private line with -lrt, and to
remove librt from the Requires.private. librt is not a "package" in the
pkg-config world, and can't be used this way.

Bug#803760: gdl: error while loading shared libraries: libGraphicsMagick++-Q16.so.11

2015-11-02 Thread Ole Streicher
Hi Axel,

after checking the dependencies of gnudatalanguage, I am not sure
whether this bug(s) should be better reassigned to graphicsmagick:
libgraphicsmagick++-q16-11 contains
/usr/lib/libGraphicsMagick++-Q16.so.12, so it uses the wrong version in
SONAME.

Cheers

Ole

Bug#803886: dnsval: FTBFS: SSLv3 method

2015-11-02 Thread Kurt Roeckx
Source: dnsval
Version: 2.0-2
Severity: serious

Hi,

Version 2.0 has this line in dane_check.c:
const SSL_METHOD *meth = SSLv3_client_method();

On the other hand, the 2.1 version has:
const SSL_METHOD *meth = SSLv23_client_method();

(It also explicitly disables SSLv2 and SSLv3, but that doesn't
have any effect in Debian since jessie.)

Please change the 2.0 to use SSLv23_client_method() that actually
support multiple versions. The SSLv3_client_method only talks
SSLv3.

Also please consider backporting to stable, you really don't want
to use SSLv3.

Kurt

Bug#803889: apf: FTBFS: Uses SSLv3 method

2015-11-02 Thread Kurt Roeckx
Source: apf
Severity: serious

Hi,

Your package uses this in afserver.c
method = SSLv3_server_method();

And this in afclient.c:
method = SSLv3_client_method();

Please change those to use SSLv23_server_method() and
SSLv23_client_method() instead. The SSLv3_* methods only
supports SSLv3 while the SSLv23_* is the only that supports
multiple versions.

The SSLv3_* methods have now been removed in unstable.

SSLv3 is no longer considered secure and you should stop using it.
SSLv3 support has been disabled in jessie when using the SSLv23_*
methods but you could still create it using the SSLv3_* methods.

This means that if you fix this both sides need to be fixed, else
they won't be able to talk to each other. So I suggest you fix
this in all branches.

You have a version of nvidia-driver that is no longer in the archive,
346.72-1. Did you install the drivers from experimental and never
upgraded again at some point between June 17th and July 21st?

Please either downgrade to the version in testing/unstable or upgrade to
the version in experimental and report back if the problem persists.

Kind regards,
Luca Boccassi

Right, the old experimental packages are not supported with the new
alternatives configuration, but I can't easily declare a Breaks against
them without also affecting the version in unstable (unless someone
comes up with a good idea).

Dear Maintainer,

It is impossible to use the computer with xrdp after upgrade from Jessie to
current testing version (KDE4 to KDE5).
When I connect to the computer via rdp I get normal login window. After
inserting login and password and clicking login I can see "classic" gray X11
background and 3 windows with the information that kdeinit5, kded5 and KCMInit
stopped unexpectedly.

- I tried to compile and install new version of xrdp - nothing changes. Tried
to change the method from sesman-Xvnc to others (this shouldn't help).
- Tried to delete .kde directory in user home.
- purge xrdp and reinstall

Bug#803725: subversion: dump-load of a repository modifies verbose log output: M line lost

2015-11-02 Thread Vincent Lefevre
Package: subversion
Version: 1.9.2-2
Severity: critical
Justification: causes serious data loss

I've posted the following to the Subversion-dev mailing-list:

  http://svn.haxx.se/dev/archive-2015-11/0001.shtml

With the MPFR repository:

I currently have:

zira:~> TZ=UTC svn log -r 1984 -v file:///home/vinc17/private/svn-mpfr

r1984 | vlefevre | 2002-07-23 16:22:08 + (Tue, 23 Jul 2002) | 2 lines
Changed paths:
   M /trunk/mul.c

Fixed permissions.

But after a dump-load:

zira:~> TZ=UTC svn log -r 1984 -v file:///home/vinc17/private/test-svn-mpfr

r1984 | vlefevre | 2002-07-23 16:22:08 + (Tue, 23 Jul 2002) | 2 lines

Fixed permissions.

The "M /trunk/mul.c" line has been lost!

FYI, this came from the CVS conversion, where the permissions of mul.c
were changed, but with no effect in the SVN repository.

I don't know whether this is due to a buggy change in the format of
the dump, or a bug in the load. The dump of this revision changed in
the following way for this revision:

 Node-path: trunk/mul.c
 Node-kind: file

kfreebsd is not a release arch, therefore this is not RC.

I filed a PU request for jessie to get 12.9 in there:

Or is there any reason we shouldn't update jessie to 12.9?

Package: unhide

unhide provides the following files which are statically linked against
libc6:
  /usr/sbin/unhide-linux
  /usr/sbin/unhide-tcp
  /usr/sbin/unhide_rb
  /usr/sbin/unhide-posix

According to Debian Policy §7.8 such a package MUST list the glibc
source package (and possibly others) in the Built-Using: field.

Note: While this is a serious policy violation, it has been agreed with
the release team that this is not a blocker bug for the Jessie release.
That's why the jessie-ignore tag is added. This makes this bug non RC.

Bug#801265: Build problem has been fixed upstream

2015-11-02 Thread SM0SVX
Hi!

I'm the original author of the SvxLink software.

The C++11 problem appeared because libsigc++ in Debian was upgraded to a
version that require C++11 support to be turned on in the compiler. However,
if C++11 support was turned on, SvxLink would not compile since some existing
static const declations seemed to be illegal in C++11.

The problem has now been fixed upstream in the 14.08.2 release:

https://github.com/sm0svx/svxlink/releases/tag/14.08.2

Best regards,
Tobias

Package: fglrx-driver
Version: 1:15.9-2
Severity: critical

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---

Hello,

after the latest kernel update in sid, the free "amdgpu" driver is available
as a module and it gets automatically loaded at boot, conflicting with fglrx.

This module should probably be blacklisted like the "radeon" module by
default.

I was hit by this issue and everything was solved by adding a file with
"blacklist amdgpu" under /etc/modprobe.d/

Regards

Bug#802172: ismrmrd has an RC bug

Hi Gianfranco, thanks for the heads-up.

I am aware of the RC bug, which has been revealed when upstream started
to ship a comprehensive test suite. IMO, it highlights the fact that
part of the library is not written in a portable way.

I know that upstream is planning a major rewrite for the next major
release (v2.x), which may or may not result in more portable code. As a
result, I am not planning to spend much effort on fixing the current
code (v1.x).

You are right. My wonderful teammate Dmitry has filed [qtbug] upstream.

[qtbug]

The fix should be already in unstable in 5.5.1+dfsg-6, we are waiting for the
mips/mipsel buildds to pick the package. After that please try again.

Bug#803721: Missing directory

2015-11-02 Thread Carlos Kosloff

Today's upgrade (20151002) brought upgrades to the glx-alternative-*
packages, they are now at version 0.6.93

However, that failed to fix kdm, which still shows a lightdm screen.
However, I think that I understand why this happens.
This is the output of the latest systemctl status kdm.service -l:

● kdm.service - LSB: X display manager for KDE

Please note the line before the last one: .default.face is missing.
So, how fix? I already reinstalled kdm to no avail.
