Bug#483819: libcompizconfig0: Couldn't load plugin 'ccp'
I'm having the same problem here, using gtk-window-decorator. Please note also that the same problem occurs if you load compiz rather than compiz-fusion by running compiz --replace gconf. The title bard and window borders disappear in the same way, except in that case you don't get the Couldn't load plugin 'ccp' error. Here's the output when running with the gconf option under Gnome: $ compiz --replace gconf Checking for Xgl: not present. Detected PCI ID for VGA: Checking for texture_from_pixmap: present. Checking for non power of two support: present. Checking for Composite extension: present. Comparing resolution (1280x1024) to maximum 3D texture size (4096): Passed. Checking for nVidia: present. No nvidia-settings program available to determine VideoRam.Checking for FBConfig: present. Checking for Xgl: not present. Starting gtk-window-decorator I don't know whether that means the problem lies elsewhere than in the libcompizconfig0 library. Bug#449475: Serious doubts about the distributability of a file
On Jan 7, 2008 1:38 PM, Vincent Fourmond [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: It seems to me that the copyright notices conflict, and effectively render the file not distributable, but I am not quite sure; if this file is effectively a derived work from the work copyrighted by the Universtity of North Carolina, it is not distributable. It all depends on the meaning of based on. What do you think ? What should be done ? I agree that the notices are incompatible, but I think the problem is more fundamental. The big problem is in the licence terms for the UNC code: Permission to use, copy, modify and distribute this software and its documentation for educational, research and non-profit purposes, without fee, and without a written agreement is hereby granted, This limitation to educational, research and non-profit purposes makes the UNC code non-free. So if any UNC code is included in the file in question, then this makes the file undistributable in main. Probably OK in non-free given that Debian is a non-profit organisation. Bug#412045: Problem when Installing mysql-server-5.0
I had a similar issue a few months ago with the mysql package being in a very bad inconsistent state, and with no apparent way of either uninstalling or fixing the package. If you do a Google search for 'mysql debian Package is in a very bad inconsistent state' you will find a number of others whom this has affected. The solution that worked for me is the one found in the first comment here - www.debianhelp.org/node/1962 - of setting the RUNLEVEL initialisation variable at start-up. I mention this in case it helps track down/reproduce the problem. It seems the problem may also be related to splashy, unless I have misunderstood what the commenter in that thread is saying. Bug#402309: Multiple credit-card charges for single Magnatunes purchase
Package: amarok Version: 1.4.4-1 Severity: serious When you make a purchase using the Magnatunes integrated store, Amarok issues the payment instruction multiple times, resulting in overcharging. While Magnatunes are very good at picking up on this (it seems it's an upstream bug that's happening to a number of people) and reversing the charge, it strikes me that a bug that costs users *actual money* deserves at the very least a serious tag. (Credit card fees and currency exchange rates means you don't get the full amount back if you're not paying in US dollars.) Reproducing the problem: go to the Magnatunes integrated store, right-click an album title and select purchase. Enter your credit card details and click purchase. Expected behaviour: get charged the chosen amount, once. Observed behaviour: get a single confirmation that the transaction has been a success, with links to download the track. But then emails come through indicating that the transaction has in fact been processed more than once - I'm currently looking at three separate confirmation emails for a single purchase, with three separate charges to my card. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe.
