Bug#1031622: d-i regression in weekly builds: FEATURE_C12 unsupported by the installed e2fsck

2023-03-02 Thread Marc Leeman
I fixed my builds with the bookworm weekly netinst by adding this in the
preseed:

d-i partman/early_command string \
sed -i -e "s/,metadata_csum_seed//g" -e "s/,orphan_file//g"
/etc/mke2fs.conf;\
   ...

Bug#892340: Status of upload?

I worked on updating the package, it is available now on mentors.debian.org.

I'll ping previous sponsor to see if he still sponsors packages.

Bug#625447: apt-cdrom does not add CD at all; ignores drive

2011-05-03 Thread Marc Leeman
Package: apt

I am using apt-cdrom for upgrading my system from a web interface. This
stopped working and after investigating; I noticed that apt 0.8.10
ignores my CD drive completely; while 0.7.20 operates as expected.

The odd thing seems to be that the newer version does not even prompt for
CDs, while messages on the internet all seem to point to the countrary.

Bug#575076: msdos fstab mode

2010-06-10 Thread Marc Leeman
I can't find my bugreport from yesterday; but since my return e-mail
was not correct; it could have been lost there.

My grub boot got corrupted because the dos compatibility mode was
selected in fstab during install of lenny.

I disabled this (c) and enabled another mode with u

It started to dawn to me that my /boot partition was listed with

(hd0,msdos1) and not the expected (hd0,1).

(hd0,msdos1) was show in the grub rescue shell.

Bug#584095: gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad: does not build; failure configure on flite

2010-06-01 Thread Marc Leeman
This file contains any messages produced by compilers while
running configure, to aid debugging if configure makes a mistake.

And what exactly is the build failure? It apparently builds fine on
squeeze/unstable. You're probably missing one of the newer build
 dependencies or something.

Since flite is not detected in the configure phase; it is not built
and ultimately; the build fails on instaling the libs (.install file).

At least there seems to be someting wrong with those depends too. I'm
installing the sid version now (1.4-release-2).

Oh crud; dpkg dependencies.

I'll have some more work to get those versions installed on Lenny

It's supposed to be buildable with 1.0 beta3, which is exactly what is
in lenny. What's the error you get?

It failed when creating the deb package since the theora plugin (so
file) was not built.

The config.log mentioned something about a .pc file missing. Didn't save
it though :-(

Oh, that's maybe a bug in the libtheora package then. The maintainer
forgot until some version to include the pkg-config files.

What do you suggest? I hate build depending on a special version of a
package just because of a packaging bug...

Since I'm probably a special case; backporting the latest GST releases
to Lenny; most people will not be affected by this bug.

You can close it; just thought it better to report it (I caught you on
IRC with the last releases with a number of such things, but forgot to
folllow it up).

Bug#369913: 0.1.1-6 with libdvdread3 0.9.6-1 does not dvdbackup

2006-06-02 Thread Marc Leeman
Package: dvdbackup
Version: 0.1.1-6
Severity: grave

After upgrading to 0.1.1-6 with libdvdread3 0.9.6-1 running

$ sudo dvdbackup -i /dev/device -I

just segfaults and when trying to mirror a DVD

$ sudo dvdbackup -i /dev/device -o . -M

it dumps between 0 and 400 MB of the DVD (depending on the DVD tried,
both DVD-5 and DVD-9). When some data is dumped, most of the files seem
physically present, but are only a couple of kB.

Downgrading dvdbackup to

dvdbackup_0.1.1-5_i386.deb
libdvdread3_0.9.4-5.1_i386.deb

solves the problem. Since playing a DVD with libdvdread3 0.9.6-1 is
just fine, maybe the sync between the new libdvdread3 and the minor
change in dvdbackup is off (new APIs?).

Bug#332452: [gmail] Bug#332452: Intention to NMU

2005-10-27 Thread Marc Leeman
Attached the patch for the version I intend to upload. Please respond if
you don't want this NMU to happen, if you are working yourself on a
patch or if you think that the attached patch won't work.

Shoot, I must have missed the bugreport. I see that it is again the
libmagick mess, let's hope they have their act together now.

You can upload it if you want, if you have the patch ready, it makes no
sense that I re-do this.

Bug#316725: header file exception.h needs to include stdarg.h

2005-07-03 Thread Marc Leeman
Package: libmagick6-dev
Version: 6:6.2.3.1-1
Severity: serious

Justification: no longer builds from source

Bug: #315503 against dvdauthor showed a problem with the newest
libmagick package.

the header file exception.h uses va_list without including stdarg.h.

Including stdarg.h solves the build problem from dvdauthor and is IMHO a
problem with the header of libmagick.

Bug#315935: crosscompiling: build arch not used during build

2005-06-27 Thread Marc Leeman
Package: ntp-simple
Version: 1:4.2.0a+stable-8
Severity: serious
Justification: no longer builds from source

I tagged the severity lower, but it's upgraded.

I am trying to cross compile the ntp-simple package for an embedded
target. Based on the debian/rules, I use the following configuration:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] ntp-4.2.0a+stable]$ cat autogen.sh
#!/bin/sh

# fix permissions
chmod a+x configure

mkdir -p build-simple
cd build-simple ../configure --prefix=/usr \
--disable-all-clocks --disable-parse-clocks \
--disable-debugging --enable-LOCAL-CLOCK \
--sysconfdir=/tmp/ntp
--cache-file=../config.cache \
--disable-errorcache \
--host=powerpc-linux-uclibc \
--build=i686-linux

make -C build-simple

The build fails at:
make[3]: Entering directory
`/home/firmware/mleeman/tmp/ntp-4.2.0a+stable/build-simple/ntpdc'
powerpc-linux-uclibc-gcc -E -I. -I../../ntpdc -I.. -I../../include

-c -o ntpdc-layout.o `test -f '../../ntpdc/ntpdc-layout.c' || echo
'../../ntpdc/'`../../ntpdc/ntpdc-layout.c; \
then mv -f .deps/ntpdc-layout.Tpo .deps/ntpdc-layout.Po; \
else rm -f .deps/ntpdc-layout.Tpo; exit 1; \
fi
powerpc-linux-uclibc-gcc -g -O2 -Wall -Wcast-qual
-Wmissing-prototypes -Wpointer-arith -Wshadow -Wstrict-prototypes -o
ntpdc-layout ntpdc-layout.o
./ntpdc-layout layout.here
/bin/sh: line 1: ./ntpdc-layout: cannot execute binary file

As far as I can make out, the ntpdc-layout is a small tool for creating
some configuration file. It should be compiled with the host gcc, not
the target gcc.
