Indeed, WCharByteOrder was removed between taglib 1.9 and 1.11, as well as 
several other symbols, but the so version was changed only from 1.14.0 to 
1.16.0. I reported the problem upstream, but this is not an easy matter, as we 
can't just decide to bump the soname in Debian without a green light from 
upstream.

I received a mail delivery failure to mo...@debian.org, so I guess Modestas is 
MIA. Therefore, I worked on updating the package, and published the changes in 
a new repository on collab-maint :

My work also includes a patch fixing #806660, and I repacked the tarball to 
address #736188.

Lintian still complains about a few minor things, that can probably be ignored 
for now, and one major one concerning the symbols files, that will need to be 
addressed before uploading (basically the symbols files need updating).

Thanks for your report. This happens only when DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS=nostrip.
The attached patch will fix the problem. I am currently working on

I can't reproduce this problem on my box. I do have gvfs installed (version
1.22.0-1+b1), and I do have a /run/user/1000/gvfs (which is an empty
directory). Even if I rmdir /run/user/1000/gvfs, dfc continues working.

Maybe you can try mkdir /run/user/1000/gvfs to see if it helps?
Can you run dfc under gdb and/or strace to see where exactly the problem
appears?

There are still ways to loose data. If you paste a note and clic on it while

meanwhile).

Apparently, basket 1.80 == 2.0 beta 1, and 1.81 == 2.0 beta 2, so there is no 
reason to keep 1.81 out of unstable because it's a beta version, since the 
current version is also a beta. Plus there is no newer upstream version.

Bug#582953: Kmail deleted all my local mail

Hi,
That reminds me I forgot to update this bug report.
I did not experience the problem for some time now, and I think it is related 
with the filesystem I use for my /home: I moved from ZFS-Fuse to ext4. That 
said, it may be related to ZFS-Fuse, but other users experienced a similar 
problem on other FS (Juha on XFS). Anyway, Kmail/Kontact should better handle 
its files (missing sync somewhere creating corrupted files in certain 
circumstances?), and do not blindly delete all the stuff like that.

The same thing just happened again, with Kontact 4:4.4.7-3 (sid): error
messages, mails deleted, Akregator feed list corrupted, preferences
forgotten, etc.

It would be really nice if someone was interested in solving this bug.
