Package: freeplane Version: 1.5.16-2 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable Hallo, Freeplane has been working for me some days/weeks ago. This morning, I started freeplane again and it wont start anymore. To be sure, I also removed my local settings by removing the directory .config/freeplane, but that didn't help either. When I start freeplane, it opens an empty main X11-frame and then only a dialog box with the excpetion java.lang.NoSuchFieldError. There is no other UI element shown. I can only exit the command by closing the window. Here I started freeplane from the command line. It shows you the log output and the raised exception. My machine is configured for Debian/Testing. Bug#712984: Close the bug
Hallo, I have now a new computer with a fresh install of Debian/Testing with lvm2 and kernel 3.16. It is also using the same LVM configuration. I have no problems anymore with booting using the original packages from Debian/Testing. For me, this bug can be closed. Regards, Vincent
Bug#678696: Your patch works
Hi Goswin, I had reported the bug #712984 which has been merged with this bug #678696. I am using Debian/Testing and have initramfs-tools-0.113 and lvm2_2.02.95-7 installed. I have my root and swap on logical volumes of the lvm. This configuration didn't work for the new 3.9 kernel. Now, I have used your patch initramfs-tools-0.106.events.patch and created a NMU package for initramfs-tools. I also added your lmv2 script as lvm2-2.02.95/debian/tree/lvm2/usr/share/initramfs-tools/scripts/local-block/lvm2 and created there a NMU package too. Using those updated packages, I could boot my system using the new kernel. So as a test report: Your changes do work. Regards, Vincent Smeets
Bug#712984: linux-image-3.9-1-amd64: Unable to find LVM volume system/root
Package: src:linux Version: 3.9.6-1 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable Hallo, I am using Debian testing and today I got an update of the kernel from 3.2 to 3.9. I can't boot with the new kernel, I can however still boot with the old (3.2) kernel becaus I didn't remove it. I have multiple harddisks in my computer. On one of it, I have a normal partition, formated with ext4 for /boot which I use for booting. The other disk space is used for LVM as phisical disks in my volume group system. This volume group contains among others the logical volumes root and swap. The kernel is started with the argument: root=/dev/mapper/system-root This configuration (still) works with the 3.2 kernel. When I'm booting the 3.9 kernel, I get the following messages: Booting kernel Loading, please wait... Volume group system not found Skipping volume group system Unable to find LVM volume system/root ... Unable to find LVM volume system/swap After a timeout, I get a busybox shell. The commands lvm vgs and lvm lvs do show there the correct information. The directory /dev/mapper shows however only the entry control. Can it be that a module isn't loaded? But how can then the LVM be found in the busybox shell? Bug#635210: libeclipselink-java: META-INF/services/javax.persistence.spi.PersistenceProvider is missing
Package: libeclipselink-java Version: 2.1.0-1 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable Hello, the downloaded package is missing the file META-INF/services/javax.persistence.spi.PersistenceProvider in the jar file /usr/share/java/eclipselink.jar. Using the library in a java JPA programm reports an error that this file is missing. In the binary package, the file is missing. I have however extracted the debian sources (apt-get source eclipselink) and build (dpkg-buildpackage) the package myselfi. In that version, the file is present. I think it is a problem from the build environment at the moment the official binary packages were build. The file build.xml correctly defines the service in the jar target. Bug#476597: Package exists but not in Lenny
Hallo again, I have found out that the package libgcj-bc (4.3.0-1) exists in snapshot.debian.net. It was generated from gcc-defaults (1.66), but that version never made it into testing/lenny. Can a package migrate to testing without all the dependency packages being available in testing? I think this is also a problem within the migration checking software for testing. Or is there no check??? Regards, Vincent Smeets -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Bug#426319: gnucash: Crash during HBCI transaction results in incorrect bank transaction.
Package: gnucash Version: 2.0.5-2~hbci.2 Severity: critical Justification: causes serious data loss Hallo, I reported this bug before as bug #426167 but it was reported for an unknown package in Debian. I repost this bug for the gnucash package. The source files I have used are comming from the same maintainer acording to the dsc-file. In case this is still the wrong place to report this bug, let me know where I have to report it then! Two days ago I tried to issue a transaction using GnuCash with HBCI. I got a copple of times a GnuCash crash during the transaction. The last time I tried it, the transaction succeeded. Today I checked the bank transactions and I found a transaction which I can only relate to the crashed transactions. This bug is serious because a bank transaction is made without a notice to the user. This results in MONEY loss! Version: I use a self compiled GnuCash package from the source from: deb-src http://aqbanking.alioth.debian.org/debian/ unstable/ I have compiled gnucash (2.0.5-2~hbci.1) from source with the modifications from wiki (--enable-hbci --enable-mt940) (I know, some options were already set. I shouldn't have changed anything). I installed the three generated packages (gnucash, gnucash-common, gnucash-hbci). The dependencies were installed from: debhttp://ftp.de.debian.org/debian testing main contrib non-free I am starting GnuCash with LC_ALL=de_DE.utf-8. I got the crash by the following actions: 1. Open an account with HBCI anabled. 2. Select menu Aktionen-Online Aktionen-Einzelüberweisung... 3. Fill in the fields (Empfänger, Konto-Nr, Bankleitzahl, Betrag, Verwendungszweck). 4. Press the button Aktuelle hinzufügen. 4a. Press the button Sortieren. (not sure if I did this) 5. Press the button jetzt ausführen. This results in a crash! You can prevent this crash by selecting the saved Überweisungsvorlage just before step 5. I think I got three times a crach (two days ago) trying to transfer 20,00€. Today, I got a report from the bank (by HBCI) with the following statement: Betrag: -60,00€ Beschreibung: SB-SAMMELUEBERWEISUNG HBCI VOM 24.05.07 22.29 UHR 0003 UEBERWEISUNGEN Buchungstext: Konto unbekannt Bank unbekannt I didn't find the correct transaction jet. I will go to the bank on Tuesday to check and correct the transaction. They will have to explain where my money has gone to (unknown). My idea about the cause of the crash: During step 4 or 4a, the values are still displayed in the mask, but the internal variables are emptied. Pressing jetzt ausführen will start a bank transaction with no values set for the Konto-Nr and Bankleitzahl. By selecting a Überweisungsvorlage just before starting the transaction, will fill all the nessesery fields (and variables). I hope this report gives enough information. At the moment I advice you to not test this on a real bank account. You will hear more about this as soon as I know more from my bank. Bug#426167: gnucash-hbci: Crash during HBCI transaction results in incorrect bank transaction
Package: gnucash-hbci Version: 2.0.5-2~hbci.2 Severity: critical Justification: causes serious data loss Hallo, Two days ago I tried to issue a transaction using GnuCash with HBCI.
