Hi,

I also got some hardware refusing to boot with this bug :
HP ProLiant DL360 Gen9

The crash is instant, right after GRUB loads the kernel and initramfs.

I got the same problem after upgrading my system to Debian 8.10 on VM
(VMware / 10-cores) / HP DL370G7 platform.

After restarting the system diden't boot (grub - kernel panic). This is
big production system so I had to hurry with restore and I didn't copy
any info frommy logs.

Some minutes leater I've done sucessfuly upgrade to 8.10 the system of
another VM (VMware / 4-cores) on HP DL360G5 platform.

Best regards
Slawek

Bug#305971: f2c also broken on Woody i386 after security upgrade

2005-06-17 Thread HartRAO VLBI Operator
Package: f2c
Version: 20010821-3.2
Followup-For: Bug #305971

The version of f2c now in Woody ie. 3.0r6, segmentation faults on startup
on i386 as well with the same strace as quoted for m68k. The latest
security patch seems to have broken the executable completely. I'm
guessing this would have to be fixed via security.debian.org since woody
is now closed for updates.

  Jonathan Quick
