If you choose to resolve this by tightening the dependency on gcj, then the
dependency needs to look something like

gcj-4.1 (= 4.1.1), gcj-4.1 ( 4.1.2)

 ../../../../gcc/i486-linux-gnu/4.1.1/include/*.h

As soon as gcj-4.1 4.1.2 is uploaded, it will break again.

again wrong.

if you want to fix it, please send a patch to decouple gcc/BASE-VER
and the gcc-lib-dir.

Bug#365934: java-gcj-compat-dev: Dead links in /usr/lib/jvm/java-gcj/include/

2006-05-03 Thread Mike Hommey
Package: java-gcj-compat-dev
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Links in /usr/lib/jvm/java-gcj point to
/usr/lib/gcc/i486-linux-gnu/4.0.3/include/ while the directory provided
by libgcj6-dev is /usr/lib/gcc/i486-linux-gnu/4.0.4/include/

That makes packages using java-gcj-compat-dev to build FTBFS.
