Bug#395863: wmaker: FocusNextKey from the system-wide configuration invalid after upgrade
* Steinar H. Gunderson ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) [061113 04:18]: Well, that file isn't read anymore, so the bug is in that case the default does not contain a default setting for FocusNextkey, not unable to read FocusNextKey from the system-wide configuration. I have no idea why Debian ships its own Window Maker default, though; upstream has one already... Can we expect some progress on this RC-bug? (This question is meant to the Window Maker-maintainers, of course, not to Steinar.) What you probably mean is /etc/GNUstep/Defaults/WindowMaker, and it has no FocusNextKey. I actually meant the file I mentioned... In fact, this is bug #394802, which is priority important -- I'm not sure if this should be RC or not, but given the amount of discussion in that bug I don't think an NMU is in-order just yet. (Also, one would probably have to fix #397412 for a meaningful NMU, if it's not already fixed.) The whole upgrade process is SNAFU, it appears, and that is RC by all conceivable definitions. -- 2. Bug#395863: wmaker: FocusNextKey from the system-wide configuration invalid after upgrade
Package: wmaker Version: 0.92.0-6 Severity: serious Hi, I see that /etc/WindowMaker/WindowMaker defines: FocusNextKey = Mod1+Tab; Yet, that doesn't actually *work* until I manually add the same setting into my ~/.GNUstep/Defaults/WindowMaker file. It's reproducible on demand. Note that I happened to have a FocusPrevKey previously in my own settings file, and that kept working after the upgrade. Please fix this horribly annoying regression. All those custom keybindings aside, Alt+Tab is not a keybinding to be messing around with. TIA. -- 2.
