Bug#453767: no longer starts after python-gst0.10 upgrade
On Sun, Dec 02, 2007, Ari Pollak wrote: I'm reassigning this back to python-gst0.10 since the python-gst package no longer exists, but there does not seem to be a proper upgrade path for people who already had python-gst installed from etch. What upgrade path would you expect? The apps' packages depend on whatever version of GStreamer they use; version 0.8 isn't used anymore, so it should be removed automatically if you used e.g. aptitude to install it, or you should remove it manually after a dist-upgrade. I think release notes 4.10 cover this procedure: http://www.debian.org/releases/stable/i386/release-notes/ch-upgrading.en.html#s-obsolete That said, if multiple API versions of GStreamer installed at the same time is broken, this should be fixed, even if we don't have this in the archive at the moment. -- Loïc Minier
