The apps' packages depend on whatever version of GStreamer they use; version 0.8 isn't used anymore, so it should be removed automatically if you used e.g. aptitude to install it, or you should remove it manually after a dist-upgrade. After upgrading, this happens to me if I have python-gst0.10 and
python-gst both installed.
$ python
import pygst
pygst.require(0.10)
import gst
gst.gst_version
(0, 8, 12)
I don't know who broke what when, but this is not a bug in Quod Libet. A
temporary fix is to remove the python-gst (which is for 0.8) package.
