Bug#463544: AFPD is not started upon netatalk start-up

2008-02-01 Thread Campbell-Lange Workshop
Package: netatalk
Version: 2.0.3-4
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

 Hello,
I'm running Debian Lenny 2.6.21-2-amd64, yesterday

 I apt-updated Netatalk to 2.0.3-7 from 2.0.3-4 and encountered

a problem with the start-up process of the service.

No AFPD process is created when starting netatalk.

I could se ATALKD and PAPD running but no AFPD.

Reverting to the old version of netatalk fixed the problem.

Could you please advise if you are aware of another solution?

 Thank you much.

 Regards,

 Veselin Kantsev

This sounds very much like bug#457246 now fixed in 2.0.3-8. Please check
http://bugs.debian.org/457246 and test if the package in unstable works.
