Yes, it should. I didn't create a separate bug for Tk because Tcl and
Tk always go together. So, please, remove Tk 8.3 also.

Bug#472957: A bug for tracking Tcl/Tk 8.3 removal

2010-09-18 Thread Sandro Tosi
Hello,
it seems all the blocking bugs has been fixed and even dak rm shows
only this rdepends problem when removing tcl8.3:

Checking reverse dependencies...
# Broken Depends:
tk8.3: tk8.3
   tk8.3-dev

# Broken Build-Depends:
tk8.3: tcl8.3-dev (= 8.3.5)

but I suppose tk8.3 is going away to?

Can we push the removal of tcl8.3 then?

Regards,

I see that isdnutils in testing still depends on tcl8.3. So, after the
new isdnutils hit squeeze it'll be time to remove tcl8.3 from testing
(and from unstable as well).

Cheers!

ah perfect (i did the check only in unstable). I just requested an
unblock for isdnutils (since there wasn't a request for that yet) and
added in X-Debugs-CC you, so you can track that.

I think, anyhow, that you can ask the removal of tcl8.3 from unstable,
since the isdnutils depends on that only in testing, and once it
migrates it will set tcl8.3 free and it will be semi-auto-removed.
Anyhow, it's up to you :) (I just stumbled upon this bug and given a
heads-up).

Cheers,
