2008-07-21 Thread Mark Hymers
On Wed, 02, Apr, 2008 at 10:28:41AM +0200, Gianluca spoke thus..
My processor is AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4400+.

 The kernel version is AMD64.

I have reinstalled Debian with 486 kernel version 2.6.18-6-486 and
 now Chillispot work fine.

 The problem is AMD64 kernel?

 Thanks
 Gianluca

Hi,

I tripped over this bug just today and discovered that whilst Chillispot
(as far as I can tell) is dead, there's a fork of it in which this bug
is fixed:

http://coova.org/wiki/index.php/CoovaChilli

I don't know if the maintainer wants to consider getting the fork
packaged for Debian as a replacement?

Cheers,

Mark

I once absent-mindedly ordered Three Mile Island dressing in a restaurant
and, with great presence of mind, they brought Thousand Island Dressing and
 a bottle of chili sauce.
