Bug#496900: rt2500-source: RT2500 fails to connect on kernel 2.6.26-1-amd64
rt2500 still works for me on i386. What authentication type, if any, are you using? Also, are you certain that the rt2500 driver is being used and not the rt2500pci driver that is part of the standard kernel? "readlink /sys/class/net/$name/device/driver" (substituting the name of the interface for $name) will show you the driver name. Bug#496900: rt2500-source: RT2500 fails to connect on kernel 2.6.26-1-amd64
Package: rt2500-source Version: 1:1.1.0-b4+cvs20080623-1 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable After updating to kernel 2.6.26-1-amd64 I can no longer connect. DHCP claims to have recieved no offers. It works fine in the previous kernel and I just compiled the latest rt2500 cvs 08-28-2008 and it is again working perfectly. Leaving me to believe it is a problem with the current driver and the 2.6.26 kernel. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages rt2500-source depends on: ii bzip2 1.0.5-1high-quality block-sorting file co ii debhelper 7.0.15 helper programs for debian/rules ii module-assistant 0.10.11.0 tool to make module package creati Versions of packages rt2500-source recommends: ii wireless-tools29-1 Tools for manipulating Linux Wirel Versions of packages rt2500-source suggests: pn rutilt (no description available) -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
