Gürkan Sengün proposed his help and prepared some packages, but I'm not sure what the status is. Axel Beckert was giving him a hand IIRC. For the record, I've got the whole X stack to keep me busy. The libgphoto2 package is (supposed to be easily) team-maintained. So anyone can upload a fix package, at any time. And NMUs are welcome as well, of course. (No prior notice needed.)
