Bug#546505: Fails to start returning a segmentation fault error
Hi, IMHO, that's an issue caused by libqscintilla2-5. A package rebuild should resolve the issue. cheers, Fathi -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Contact listmas...@lists.debian.org
Bug#546505: Fails to start returning a segmentation fault error
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA1 Hi Fathi, After your suggestion I upgraded libqscintilla2-5 from testing (libqscintilla2-5_2.3.2-1.1_i386.deb) to unstable (libqscintilla2-5_2.4-4_i386.deb) and now everything works fine. Thanks! If you need me to do more tests with the previous configuration just let me know. Have a nice weekend, Paolo. Fathi Boudra wrote: Hi, IMHO, that's an issue caused by libqscintilla2-5. Bug#546505: Fails to start returning a segmentation fault error
Hi, i can reproduce it, exactly the same behaviour and strace as in the initial report. Didn't try to recompile though. Strange: when calling the program without parameters it segfaults. When calling it universalindentgui MyFile.cpp # existing or not, same result or even universalindentgui -f MyFile.cpp i get the dialog like Paolo described for --help. -BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA1 Hi Patrik, Yes, the problem is still there. I couldn't find any debugging symbols package for universalindentgui. Please, let me know where I can find them and if I need to install additional debug packages. I tried to load them from /usr/bin/universalindentgui but I'm not sure it worked. I attach here is the gdb output anyway, I guess it won't be of much help. Have a nice day, Paolo. Patrick Schoenfeld wrote: Tags 546505 unreproducible thanks Hi, I cannot confirm your problem.
