This file contains any messages produced by compilers while running configure, to aid debugging if configure makes a mistake. And what exactly is the build failure? It apparently builds fine on squeeze/unstable. You're probably missing one of the newer build dependencies or something. Since flite is not detected in the configure phase; it is not built and ultimately; the build fails on instaling the libs (.install file). -- br, marc The best approach for you requires two steps.
