Bug#794102: OK
After new upgrades and removing ~/.xsession, session starts and I have window decorations. There are other issues (I cannot put pidgin or kwallet in tray. I lost my hotkeys and cannot add new ones). I think it's due to migration in progress (4.12-4.14). KDE in stretch is broken. But that's another story. I will just wait new versions to be available. OK. I hadn't noticed the comment I referenced wasn't from the original reporter. Please make sure your system is fully upgraded and restart your KDE session. If the problem persists, please reopen the bug and let us know what versions of kwin-x11 and plasma-workspace you have installed.
