As there is no prospect of a fix for now and k3d is causing a blockage on
several interrelated transitions, I have temporarily removed it from
testing.

Goody, thanks. I had already told jcristau on IRC to do so if it
caused problems.

I don't know when I will be able to find a solution, so good that you
removed the +pending.

  libcairomm-1.0-1v5 : Conflicts: libcairomm-1.0-1 but 1.10.0-1.1+b1 is

I think this was caused by a mis-build of imagemagick on amd64[1] which
has now been fixed by a binNMU. Please try again; I can reproduce the
original build failure in sbuild today.

I think this might be the last sourceful upload needed by the imagemagick
sub-transition within the larger libstdc++ mess.

[1] The mirror used by my sbuild chroot hadn't seen libopenexr6v5 yet,
causing it to be built against libopenexr6 on amd64 only.
I for one welcome our new throw away maintainer-built binaries

Thanks for the update. I get this error now at 98% (and there seem to
be a non-fatal error before):

ERROR: Plugin doesn't implement interface: Python
 ERROR: /tmp/buildd/k3d-0.8.0.3/k3dsdk/scripting.cpp line 55:
assertion `engine' failed
 ERROR: Error executing script [

So it will need a bit more investigation and possibly to speak with
upstream about it -- I think that the fix will need a few days (at
least) to arrive.

Cheers.

 Source: k3d
 Version: 0.8.0.3-7
 Severity: serious
Justification: fails to build from source (but built successfully in the past)

When rebuilt for libsigc++-2.0-0v5, k3d fails to build from source
 https://buildd.debian.org/status/package.php?p=k3d:

 In file included from /«PKGBUILDDIR»/k3dsdk/inode.h:28:0,

 /«PKGBUILDDIR»/k3dsdk/difference.h:34:37: fatal error:
boost/math/tools/test.hpp: No such file or directory

I suspect this is a result of the update from Boost 1.55 to Boost 1.58.

Thanks for taking a look.

Yes, it is a problem due the changes in boost, and I have a fix for
this but it didn't compile in a clean pbuilder when I tried ~5 days
ago, because of dependencies not being ready:

/tmp/buildd/k3d-0.8.0.3/modules/imagemagick_io/bitmap_importer.cpp:62:
undefined reference to
`Magick::Image::read(std::__cxx11::basic_stringchar,
std::char_traitschar, std::allocatorchar  const)'
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status

Today it cannot even start to compile because of conflics of deps to install:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
libopenexr6v5 : Conflicts: libopenexr6 but 1.6.1-8 is to be installed.
libilmbase6v5 : Conflicts: libilmbase6 but 1.0.1-6.1 is to be installed.
 libcairomm-1.0-1v5 : Conflicts: libcairomm-1.0-1 but 1.10.0-1.1+b1 is
to be installed.

I'm keeping an eye on this, and I will fix it as soon as it is
possible to do it.

Cheers.
