Bug#797523: qbittorrent: FTBFS [armel armhf]: configure: error: Could not find a version of the library!

2015-08-31 Thread Simon McVittie
Source: qbittorrent
Version: 3.2.3-1
Severity: serious
Justification: fails to build from source (but built successfully in the past)

qbittorrent FTBFS on armel and armhf:

checking whether to install the systemd service file... no
checking whether to enable the WebUI... yes
checking whether Qt5 should be enabled... no
checking for /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabi/qt4/bin/qmake... yes
checking for Qt4 qmake >= 4.8.0... /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabi/qt4/bin/qmake
checking whether QtDBus should be enabled... no
checking for boostlib >= 1.35... yes
configure: Boost CPPFLGAS: -I/usr/include
checking whether the Boost::System library is available... yes
configure: error: Could not find a version of the library!
make[1]: *** [override_dh_auto_configure] Error 1
debian/rules:11: recipe for target 'override_dh_auto_configure' failed

I'm not sure what "the library" means here; if it would be enough to add a
dep-wait on something, then this can be reassigned to the release team
to get the build retried.

This blocks the libtorrent-rasterbar mini-transition, part of the
ongoing libstdc++ mess.

It looks like the configure flag --with-libboost-dir was renamed to
--with-boost-libdir. Updating that seems to resolve the problem. I
have a build going on an armhf porterbox right now. It got passed
this. I'll make an upload if/when it succeeds completely.

Thanks,
