Bug#811431: php5-symfony-debug: fails to install: php5-symfony-debug.postinst: php5enmod: not found
Control: found -1 2.7.7+dfsg-1 Hi, On Mon, Jan 18, 2016 at 10:01:13PM +0100, Andreas Beckmann wrote: > Package: php5-symfony-debug > Version: 2.7.9+dfsg-1 > during a test with piuparts I noticed your package failed to install. php5-symfony-debug actually installs fine if php5-common is fetched instead of php5.6-phpdbg (new package that also provides phpapi-20131226). Again (#810526#10), you may wish to not file such bugs currently [0]: the (soon to be) ongoing transition of php will require a lot of rebuild (and NEW processing). We already know that, but all the tools are not yet in place. 0: https://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2016/01/msg2.html Since the issue is not triggered by this version, declaring it as found in the version currently in testing too, so this bug doesn’t hold the migration of a security fix. Whatever apt considered to satisfy the dependency got installed ... if it has to choose, it takes the "wrong" choice ;-P That's why dependencies should always have a real package or a unique virtual package as the first (or only) alternative. But ongoing transitions are probably exempted :-) > Again (#810526#10), you may wish to not file such bugs currently [0]: That' didn't reach me, but submit@ ... > the (soon to be) ongoing transition of php will require a lot of rebuild > (and NEW processing). OK, good to know, so I can save me some work - just remind me to rerun all php packages once php is ready to be tortured again :-) In case these transient bugs cause migration/removal problems, feel free to downgrade the severity.
