1. User installs jessie.
2. User installs nikola.
3. User upgrades to stretch.

Currently the user gets a known broken nikola in stretch.

The Breaks would make the problem visible at upgrade time,
instead of causing runtime problems the user has to debug.

It would be good to have that Breaks in stretch, to force removal of the
jessie nikola in jessie -> stretch upgrades.

That's basically a duplicate of #790906, and a Breaks in python-doit
should force the removal of nikola (nikola is not in stable and has
been removed from unstable in #863031).

Bug#870162: nikola: Version of doit is too new

2017-07-30 Thread Johannes Schauer
Package: nikola
Version: 7.1.0-1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

When running nikola I get the following message:

ERROR: You are using doit version 0.28.0, it is too new! This application
requires version <= 0.27.

Thus, nikola seems to currently be unusable.

Thanks!

cheers, josch
